You gasped. "He said that it was from a hunt!"
"Are we sure Neteyam did that though?" Kiri asked, crossing her arms. "Maybe Lo'ak's spirit came into him because he was too impatient to be born," she suggested.
Lo'ak spluttered. "Neteyam did the bad thing this time, and I'm getting shit for it?"

Her father chuckles, picking her up from the branch and placing her on his lap. “Why are you so competitive, like your Mama? I don’t think Neteyam is aware you’re competing with him.”
“He knows,” she huffs. “That's why he’s getting better, and he’s always training! Even without me!”
Her father seems conflicted for a minute before speaking, “Paskalin… Neteyam is the Olo’eyktan’s oldest son. He’s bound to follow after his father’s footsteps. He’s not training mostly because he wants to be better than you. He’s training to be better than all of us.”
Lou doesn’t seem to like that.
As a daughter of two outsiders, Lou doesn't know where exactly she belongs. Neteyam makes sure she's aware every time.
