Summary
After the devastating attack on Treviso, Lucanis Dellamorte shuts himself off from the realm of romance, unable to offer Rook Ingellvar, the young elven Mourn Watcher, the emotional bond she longs for despite her unmistakable feelings for him. In the turmoil that follows, he seeks fleeting solace in the arms of Neve Gallus, unknowingly using her as a balm for the connection he cannot return to Rook. While Rook seems to accept his rejection with grace, even appearing content with his newfound closeness to Neve, Lucanis cannot shake the growing ache that pulls him back to Rook—a torment that only deepens with the arrival of a charismatic necromancer and the dawning realization that Rook’s once-steadfast affections may no longer be Lucanis's to solely hold.

Summary
Rook survived the Kirkwall Circle. She survived Crow training. She even survived a meeting with the Dread Wolf. But, she's starting to wonder if her sanity will survive the Demon of Vyrantium.
Before Spite, before the Antaam, before his "death" and her defiance, Lucanis and Rook had history together. No, not that kind of history, for all that Rook had wished for it. They were colleagues, and on their better days Rook would have even called them friends. Never mind that she had fallen for him from their first mission together; never mind that she was the one mage he trusted to have his back; never mind that she'd saved his life once already and he'd owed her a debt long before the Ossuary. They'd left too many things unsaid, and what words were spoken before it all fell apart had been shouted in anger.
Now it's the end of the world, and with it, a second chance. But a demon, a Blight, and three Elven gods stand in their way, and the odds for anything good are stacked against them. How fortunate then, that a Rook can rise above anything, and a Crow's stubbornness can spite the gods themselves.
It's just getting out of their own way that's the real problem.

Summary
"Lucanis Dellamorte,” he said with a casual air about him. Like he wasn’t the man who had fucked her senseless on the docks nearly a year ago. His eyes lingered on her for a fraction of a second, just long enough to twist her stomach into knots. But then, his gaze shifted to Neve with a charmingly cool effect.
For a moment, Rook wondered if he truly didn’t recognize her. There wasn’t even a flicker of familiarity in his face, only that guarded and smooth allure that made her bite her lip. She tried to shake off the pang of disappointment, forcing herself to focus on the mission, but damn, it stung. He doesn’t remember. And it’s better that way, she told herself, trying to smother the rush of excitement she had felt upon seeing him.

Bookmarker's Notes
Yummy rookcanis. Fix it for the romance we got, not the romance we need
