Summary
Nie Huaisang has no idea what’s in store for him when a super-hot thief crashes into his window, and he smacks said super-hot thief in the face with his trusty frying pan. The circlet in the thief’s bag seems like good bribing material, though, and Nie Huaisang has always wanted to see the Festival of Arts and Lanterns, which happens every year, on his birthday.
Next thing he knows, he and the thief, Jiang Cheng, are on their way towards the capital. As their journey unfolds, however, betrayals and chaos will unfold in the wildest, most unexpected way Nie Huaisang could’ve ever dreamed of for his 18th birthday.
Join him and Jiang Cheng in a thrilling adventure through the forest, where they’ll face off together against other bandits, nice pub guys, and royal guards, armed with nothing but their fists and a frying pan.
Wait, Jiang Cheng had a sword?! Why couldn’t he mention that earlier?! This journey could’ve been a whole lot easier!!
Note: rating is subject to change, depending on whether certain scenes in the movie (like the underwater cave escape) end up... less PG than they were in the Disney version. I’ll stick pretty close to the movie plot though, just with more details.

He almost didn’t notice when someone crossed the doorway, stopping in front of the desk. He looked up, blinking a few times to get his eyes to focus on the stranger. It looked as if he was glowing, the setting sun shining behind him, making his features hard to discern.
“How can I help you?”
The person was staring at him without replying, a pair of big doe eyes not seeming to want to leave his. He was starting to get irritated, his eyes narrowing, and he was about to tell him to stop staring and fucking speak when a voice finally came. It was soft and melodic, unlike any he had ever heard before.
