Kept him in the dark to not have him form own opinions. He had been destined to be a weapon but maybe choosing this path could free him from having others wield him for their own purposes. It’s an offer for a different future.He fears it might end up being a very lonely existence, despite the freedom. His thoughts wander and he remembers the day he saw piercing blue eyes looking at him with resignation. It felt so long ago.
