Summary
Claire Beauchamp Randall is trying to save her marriage to Frank Randall after the end of the Second World War. Part of her plan involves a second honeymoon trip to a farm hotel in Scotland, known as Fraser's Ridge, where the two lovebirds would spend a two-week holiday.
But nothing happens as planned.
Claire meets James Fraser, the owner of the farm. She tries to resist the temptation, but by the end of the trip, she was in his bed.
In the middle of her failed plan, while trying to save a dead love, somehow, she managed to find a new blossoming one.
