Ink curled up beside him and tried to ignore the sounds outside his little sanctuary, the rattling of his shaking bones doing little to cover them. He picked at the spaces between his phalanges and stared unseeingly into the stalls across from them. Perseverance? The concept felt so foreign to his young and shaken mind.
How could he possibly persevere when it felt as if he was unraveling?

STEP FOUR: WHAT THE- HOW DID THAT WORK?!Papyrus had a very thought out and well prepared plan for making sure Undyne didn't kill Frisk—until Undyne went off script and showed up at his house. That was okay, though. Papyrus was nothing if not great at thinking on his feet!

Summary
Born and raised to be a human sacrifice for the monsters under the mountain, Frisk hadn’t formed any sort of significant bonds in their life.
(Un)fortunately for them however, they survive the fall and become bound- or bond with a de- spirit that allows them to come back to life should they ever die!
Although with the state of the underground and the attitude of the monster that live within it, Frisk would be using that power again. And again. And again.
Was it even worth coming back?
