George buys a collar as a joke. Max takes it seriously.

Max holds out his hand, palm steady despite the way his heart flips in his chest, hopeful. “Would you dance with me?”
He offers himself first as a dance partner now, a tentative first step towards the other, but in time he will give himself fully to the other man, for every day that he has left to live. This is just where they will start when they tell their story to the young ones who come after.
