Summary
Rosemary Clarke never planned on finishing high school in Hawkins, Indiana. She definitely didn’t plan on living with her nerdy science-teacher uncle, getting adopted by a bunch of overexcited middle schoolers, or forming an uneasy co-babysitter alliance with Steve Harrington of all people.

Summary
Hawkins, Indiana, drew in many strange, unruly beasts. Below it lay something no one wished to experience. It wreaked havoc, created chaos, and killed many, many innocent souls.
Liv Bilton lived in the next town over. Harrisville, Indiana. It was a quiet, small town where everyone knew everyone. Nothing strange or unusual ever happened in Harrisville, Indiana. It was utterly boring.
To escape her boredom, she often ventured over to Hawkins, where she babysat a family friend and lifelong best friend, Dustin Henderson. He was her source of excitement. Between comic books and cartoons, she had all the fun she missed out on in Harrisville.
Things were good. They were normal, and although a bit boring at times, Liv managed.
But Hawkins, Indiana, drew in many strange, unruly beasts. And due to an unlucky circumstance, Liv suddenly found herself in the middle of inexplicable danger. Danger that would make her miss her old life of boredom in Harrisville, Indiana.

Until you -- a gutsy, free-spirited stranger -- help him escape from a mob of overenthusiastic fans, and you both decide to get the heck out of dodge for a multi-day adventure that neither of you will ever forget. Can a shift in scenery and company help Elvis change the trajectory of his increasingly challenging life and career?
i.e. Elvis receives a great kindness from strangers, instead of what's usually the other way around. A fix-it fic of sorts.

Miriam Cohen runs away from her Orthodox family in Memphis in 1960, and ends up living in Los Angeles, where her older brother is a member of the Memphis Mafia, working and living with Elvis Presley. Miriam begins an affair with Elvis as he struggles to get Hollywood to take him seriously, and she experiences the blossoming counterculture growing in California during the 1960s while navigating Elvis' controlling, jealous and unfair expectations. The main character is underage at the beginning of this story, don’t read if that bothers you. Its going to get dark and wrong, but also have some fluff and levity and deal with sexual awakening and agency, while overcoming the dark underbelly of show business and being in love with someone who is a charismatic, kind, but also a sick fucked up addict.
