Summary
In the middle of their final fight with Renoir, Expedition 33 are interrupted as The Writers destroy their canvas. In the ensuing chaos, Gustave and Verso are separated from one another. They are thrown from universe to universe as they try to find each other again, meeting different versions of one another along the way.

Summary
Life is slow in Lumiere, a small coastal city not far from the Continent. Gustave is content with his life here, working as a power plant lead technician despite his disability. He has his sister, who is making her career on the Continent. He has his foster sister Maelle, whom he dotes on. Life is good until someone moves into the empty room below his. Verso might be the answer to all his problems or the one that will destroy his life.

"And I pity yours, if you ever do manage to marry. But with your luck, they might just dump you after stealing your secrets again."
