This story was written by the wonderful and talented @PleaseDonateBlood forever ago, but I recently learned how to display text-fics on AO3 as iOS texts in-browser. Of course I immediately thought of HCAO, one of my all time favorite fics, which happens to be almost totally written in iMessage texts!! In essence, now instead of this being a .txt-based story, I've coded it into a text-based story lmao. -

The question, so far from anything Sirius had expected, and so sharply asked, threw him.
“Oh, right. Um. Nothing, I guess? I mean, I know it’s one person getting an organ from someone else.” Remus was pouring another packet of sugar into his drink with a level expression, and Sirius hesitantly leaned back. “Is… is that what this is about? Because I need a place to stay and you know I’m willing to sell you most of my body, but...”
There was something about being in Remus Lupin’s presence that somehow made Sirius regress into the obnoxious, depraved boy he’d so desperately portrayed in school, and he cursed inwardly as Remus’ expression seemed to confirm that this was exactly what he’d expected.Remus Lupin needs a fake husband to get listed for organ transplant, and Sirius needs a roommate to afford a place to stay, and it pretty much goes from there

Sirius felt his jaw drop in bewilderment, felt the blush creeping onto his cheeks as Remus glanced down at him and smirked, all dry amusement and mocking and Sirius was having difficulty clinging to his righteous fury.Or, Sirius is on the inpatient rehabilitation unit following a leg amputation, but he won't go to physical therapy or occupational therapy or any other stupid therapy because what's the point?
