Lois doesn’t think much about the fact that she’s in a relationship.
Sure, Clark spends most of his time in her apartment, she wakes up to kisses being pressed against her shoulder and sometimes to wandering hands underneath the covers. And she does order twice the amount of everything now—soap, towels, food.
But for some reasons, Lois has trouble realising her relationship is real and tangible until it’s perceived by other people.

All in all, Lois thinks, it is easy to forget just how different human and kryptonian biology truly is.
It strikes her at times, when Clark is vacuuming her flat and mindlessly picking the couch up with one hand to reach underneath like it is nothing, or when she sometimes wakes up to Clark landing against her old, creaky fire escape, letting himself in through the window.
Kryptonians are a lot of things humans aren’t, but one thing is for certain: Lois still has much to discover when it comes to her very alien boyfriend. Starting with the way he acts around her at times—especially when she is on her period.

It’s not that Clark is chronically online.
He just… looks up things, is all. As an Alien, he knows he still has to learn about human customs and ways, and he intends on making sure that he fits in best he can. It goes from language ticks to behaviors, something he’s learned going from growing up on a farm to working in the big city, and with the surprised and sometimes amused looks he got from his colleagues during his first few months.
So it makes sense for him to make sure that Lois is satisfied in their relationship—sexually, that is.
