Viktor offers him an unimpressed look. “I can tell there’s something you want to tell me. Better to get it out now than let it fester in your mind.”
“Oh.” Jayce blinks twice but makes no effort to deny anything. Viktor almost feels smug for being right. Almost. Because that moment of confidence sinks once he hears Jayce’s following words.
“I’m going to ask Professor Medarda out tomorrow.”
A pause. A hold of breath. And Viktor looks away.
“...I see.”

Martin tries to learn Korean, but finds himself learning how to read Hyukkyu instead. (alternatively- fnatic go bootcamping in Korea and the rest is history.)
Putting it bluntly he's never met Deft, not even close.
But, Martin's has seen him play ranked games on streams, has religiously watched his positioning with his partner in the bottom lane (not like that), and then lastly, saw his face through a grainy little webcam with the spotty reception from the hotel wifi back in Cologne four months ago and thought- wow.
