The boy who had been smaller, gentler, always trailing a step behind Ren in the old mansion gardens — now a composed young gentleman in his mid-twenties. He had grown tall and slender, though still carrying that scholarly grace. His dark hair was neatly parted, his features sharpened by time into something strikingly handsome.
Dan Heng is alive.

Cloud turned and found himself facing a mirror he hadn't noticed before, except his reflection was wrong. Too tall, shoulders too broad. Silver hair instead of blonde, falling like silk to a waist Cloud didn't have. Eyes that glowed with something far more dangerous than standard mako enhancement, green and alien and old in a way that had nothing to do with years.
"Well. This is unexpected."
Cloud woke gasping, tangled in his sheets, sweat-soaked and shaking.
Somewhere in the back of his mind, he could still hear that cold voice echoing:
"Who are you?"
