Rose crosses universes. The Doctor has no idea.
It can't go on forever.
“What universe?” she asked. The vendor furrowed his brow, as if he didn’t understand the question.
“I beg your pardon?”
“Universe?” Rose repeated. The vendor shook his head.
“There is only one universe, love,” he said.
He gestured to his maps, and Rose swallowed. Hard.

On St. Patrick's Day, the Doctor and Rose test their tolerance for Guinness, aliens, and their ability to keep their hands off each other.
An episode-style adventure.
"Did you know," he said, chewing, "that this –" he gestured at the magnificent chaos, “—started in America?"
"Did it?" she asked.
"New York. 1762. Irish soldiers serving in the English military marched through the streets. Homesick, mostly. A bit drunk, probably." He took another bite of banana. "Ireland didn't really do any of this until much later. Pubs were legally closed on St. Patrick's Day here until 1970."
Rose stared at him. "You're joking."
"Religious observance. Feast day. Very solemn." He looked around at approximately forty thousand people celebrating in the street. "Things change."
