She’d be lying to herself if she said having him ask about her ass didn’t make her stomach flip end over end, especially paired with the smirk on his face as he stepped through the door. It was the kind of smirk that conveyed immense relief at her being alive, and a fondness they hadn’t quite put a label on yet.

This fic came into existence because I love the idea of Elliot fussing over Olivia on their trip back from Ohio. I imagine he's insufferable and very much acting as Nurse Stabler. And maybe she actually likes it?

You've been (somewhat) enjoying a drink with a young architect--cute, if a little boring--and trying to ignore the constant barrage of text messages you'd been receiving from the faceless creep you've come to think of as Bar Douche when an intimidating stranger named Joel interrupts.
Joel is by turns protective, crass, and completely over-the-top flirtatious, leaving you not quite sure how to respond to him and not quite sure where you stand. You give as good as you get, baring your teeth from time to time, but Joel just seems to enjoy your bite. Fighting his excessive, thick-laid come-ons and wandering hands is too easy at first, but grows progressively more difficult as his tendency to swoop in just in time results in the two of you spending more and more time together.
