Summary
Hinata Shoyo comes home for the holidays only to find him standing in a convenience store, so perfect and so far away after 5 years apart.
And maybe he's regretting his decision, but who’s to blame him? The nostalgia can hit hard when the only person you’ve ever loved treats you like a stranger.
What starts as a reunion with Kageyama turns into a slow orbit neither of them can break. A coffee meet-up becomes messages, messages become shared jokes, and shared jokes become afternoons on the court like the years between them never happened.
Shoyo keeps telling himself it’s harmless, temporary, seasonal, just until he leaves again. But the truth slips into every glance, every touch, every perfectly familiar toss of the ball: he never stopped wanting the road he didn’t take.
Kageyama, older and harder to read now, lets him back in inch by inch, just enough to remind Shoyo of everything he walked away from. Every set, every spike, every tiny moment of ease feels like a taste of the life they might have had.
And, for a little while, for this damn season, they fall into old rhythms again. And Shoyo can’t help but think that it was not the best choice to leave all those years ago.Bookmarked by MochiNyanPi

Summary
“A dragon’s treasure must be presented as an offering to proceed,” chimes the little Secret Source Servant hovering next to them.
Aether’s face twists into displeasure, glancing around the courtyard.
“Paimon still can’t see anything that looks like treasure,” she complains, flitting around the area.
It’s true, nothing stands out, even to Childe’s eyes. With a hum, he crosses his arms over his chest and thinks, considering the glimmering seal over the door looming before them. There are glowing lines of phlogiston running beneath the door and around its circumference. At the side of the door where the locking mechanism sits, there is what appears to be a small stone altar of sorts, raised up from the ground and surrounded in the same golden light as the door’s seal. Presumably, this is where the offering is supposed to be placed.
“What’s even in this Temple of the Coveted?” Childe inquires.
---
Childe attempts to help Aether with unsealing an ancient dragon temple in Natlan and gets more than he bargained for.

Summary
“Are you a Sentinel?” he blurts, before remembering Skirk's reticence to questions.
She doesn’t stop moving, but she does glance at him from the corner of her eye.
“No,” she says. “But you are a Guide.”
Ajax blinks, faltering. The woman does not stop there.
“You have also been blessed by Celestia. That Vision was next to you when I found you. To come into both blessings while in the Abyss.” She pauses. “You’re either extremely fortunate, or perhaps extremely cursed.”
“A Guide?” Ajax’s brow furrows. “No, I must be a Sentinel.”
------
Ever since Ajax was young, he has dreamed of being a Sentinel like his father. With heightened senses and strength, he could easily be a renowned adventurer, able to make a name for himself.Life does not quite work out that way.

Childe prompts, “Regression?”
If possible, Xiao’s expression pinches further, but he doesn’t reprimand Childe for his interjection. “A regression to biological urges that most adepti have learned to adapt to and control by adolescence.”
______
Or; While attempting to adapt to mortal life without a gnosis, the presence of a suitable mate triggers a latent rut in Zhongli.
