Summary
After a time apart, fate begins to conspire to bring Cobalt and the others back together. At the founding of a city that would be host to one of the most influential revelations in the world's history.
In the depths of winter at the start of a new year, their lives take a sudden and altogether precarious step into unknown trials.
Their quiet existence of solitude is irrevocably challenged as Pyrrhia continues on and into the future.
No longer alone, Dragons and Scavengers face their shared history. Blindly stumbling through the dark of five thousand years of ignorance and apathy. Struggling, writhing against grief and hatred and trauma.
Hognose, Shale, Oriole, and Cobalt give their all to make their previously uninhabited mountain range a kinder place to live for those they find unexpectedly flocking to it. To grasp at the chance, no matter how faint, to set right The Sins of the Father.
...Yet, some pains are simply too great. Some actions too heinous to be forgotten. Some choices so revolting, that they haunt their makers forever.
Even unto disastrous catastrophe.
A promise unfulfilled, and a life undeserved.
Grieving souls are broken over their own blood soaked hands.

Summary
In the telling of such a long fic, some things fall to the wayside. Ideas that, while engaging or otherwise interesting, can't fit well enough into the primary flow of the work. Or just happened to be thought of too late to be perfectly included.
This is a space to share those shorter stories! To take a look at some presents, pasts, (and maybe futures) of the characters of Knight-Errant, my primary WoF fic.
Most things in this collection, assuming it grows, shouldn't have too much relevance to the core story. Some details might be recognized, but nothing necessary to enjoy Knight-Errant will be kept here.
As stated, this is just a spot to keep the mismatched bits and bobs of the Beans somewhere out of the way, but still visible. Therefore, the Chapter Count will be kept as "Completed" since this is more of a spontaneous thing rather than any dedicated compilation.
Read carefully! Entries may or may not contain spoilers for Knight-Errant itself, but will always be marked in the Author's Note if so!

Summary
A year and a few months later, the war has ended. Pyrrhia is finally at peace. The wanton bloodshed ended, at last.
But the scars and tensions of war do not dissipate into the ether overnight. Hognose, Oriole, and Shale all still carry wounds of their own. Wounds that they might not realize they have.
The continent is safer, and more open. But just barely. Finally free to travel without immediately fearing for their lives, they begin to explore the land around them. New faces come into their lives, and things finally start to become better. Rather than just surviving, they begin to live.
But they are not alone. Cobalt, having lived with them for so long a time, has picked up on some of their customs.
Including their language.
No longer plagued by cunning and brutal potential queens, the common dragon of Pyrrhia finds themselves concerned instead with their neighbors. Finding forgiveness to forge a lasting peace does not come easily.
But those who fearfully scamper in the dark cannot be forgotten, either. Their role in the world is far larger than most assume.
Old soldiers without purpose and bright-eyed youths in a newly peaceful land meet, and the next page of their story turns.

Summary
In the midst of the War of Sandwing Succession, three souls have carved out a small refuge from the violence and demands of their tribes, fugitives though they are.
A Skywing, Mudwing, and Sandwing dwell peacefully and as quietly as they can within a canyon meadow nestled within the Claws of the Clouds mountains, hoping no trouble will ever find its way to them.
Unfortunately, that wouldn't make for a very interesting story now, would it?
Left alone with the other pair on an errand, the Sandwing dragonet Hognose happens upon a scavenger within their home. He takes pity on the small thing, and resolves to mend its hurts before setting it loose once again.
However, he quickly grows attached to the tiny creature, in wonder of it. A sentiment it seems to mirror.
A decision and fascination that would define the rest of them and their cohorts days, for better and for worse.
As Pyrrhia's history rolls on, and the world changes with each passing day, these four make their living in its wake.

Summary
A story of those unremembered by history and the world at large. Time moves onward and the world changes, leaving common folk to adapt with it. But that does not preclude their ability to incite change. If the only effect you have on the world is to make it brighter for just one other, or even yourself, then that is enough.
Beginning in 5009 A.S., a year and 4 months before the Dragonets of Destiny begin their stories and reshape Pyrrhia as they know it, this tale follows three dragons who've made out a place for themselves in the mountains. Away from the war. Away from their fears. Pushed together by coincidence and necessity, they begrudgingly tolerate one another. Content to wait out the bloodshed and hope it never finds them.
But all things change, given time. The youngest of them finds a scavenger one day. And from then on, it too joins the dragons in their den. An unsolicited act of empathy and kindness for something regarded as lesser by most defines the rest of their lives.
The war ends, time rolls onward, and history unfolds. Friends come and go, relationships change. Though their reach is not far, they try to do good by those around them. Even if all they can reach is themselves.
