“I figure I should try to desensitize myself so I can protect you better,” he tilted his head as he spoke, warmth curled next to the nerves, “I don't think it's working.”
“Come on Captain,” she gestured towards the water, “the longer you stand there ogling at me the more likely someone will come by and ogle the both of us.”
“And it'll be the best day of their lives.” He announced haughtily, swaggering towards her and taking the hand she stretched out to him.
