For three years, Johan has been haunted by a voice.
A voice that drifted through the speakers of a game lobby one night, unexpected yet strangely comforting. He never saw the face behind it, never even spoke a word in return, he only listened, night after night, pulled in by something he couldn't explain. And then, one evening, that voice disappeared.
Now, three years later, Johan is a third-year medical student, drowning in exhaustion and routine, plagued by relentless insomnia, long past the days of searching for something he was never meant to find. Until fate brings it back to him.
It's supposed to be a simple favor. His friend, Hill, asks him to fetch his boyfriend from the dorm. But when the door swings open, it's not Easter standing there. It's North.
Johan's breath catches. The same warmth, the same cadence, the same tone that once tethered him to something unseen. The voice he spent years searching for.
And this time, he refuses to lose it. When an opportunity arises to collect a debt from North, Johan seizes it. But proximity breeds danger. The more time they spend together, the harder it is for Johan to pretend.
Because debts can be repaid. But obsessions? They only grow.
