Formerly called: Cataclysm: The Experiment Who Bleeds Red
I challenge you. I implore you. Such creatures underground. Entombed dangers nurtured. Foolish, I was. To think... To wonder... To pursue. Punishment, maybe. Contest? Undoubtedly. Foolish, I was! You, too, are. No matter. My blood will not be spilled, not for you, but for them. For I am the Experiment who bleeds red.
(What if a hardened apocalypse survivor was placed in a, somewhat upsettingly similar, scenario to what they were already dealing with? But this time... there's FURRIES. No need to understand what Cataclysm: DDA is, because if you don't. It kind of reads like a mystery type of thing. Very similar to another thing I wrote! Different story line, I promise.)

Summary
"We were made to die."
This world is strange. Ever since it fell, I've always thought about how silly it is to expect us to be at the center of everything. Watching monsters take over the streets, while you silently wished for the nightmare to be over. There was an early hope in the beginning. Maybe we'd be victorious, maybe we'd fight back and beat them all. Maybe it was just a nightmare. A... nightmare that took billions of lives. A nightmare that was ruthlessly brutal, unnecessarily violent, and unending for months. It has still yet to end. Three years in and I've found myself at the edge of my own humanity. I'm not zombified, nor dead. No. It's something else. A condition where I can't tell where I'm numb or in agony. You could say I'm drifting, merely living for the sake of survival. I want to pretend it's more complicated than that, but I don't know anymore.
What I do know is that I'm going to join the billions dead one day, and it'll just be as violent, graphic, and excruciating as the rest. My death won't be special. I will be nothing but another corpse. That... I find somewhat comforting.
