When it's Starfire's turn to pick the film for the Titans' bi-weekly movie night, she chooses the animated classic, Beauty and the Beast. After the film, Raven and Beast Boy reveal the very different themes they interpreted and messages that they took away from the experience, and while Raven's elaborate explanation leaves Beast Boy in awe, his succinct opinion has a rather different effect on her.

Summary
Kotallo is hurting, inside and out, when he is sent by his chief to Stone Crest on escort duty for a futile mission. He's heard rumours about the Champion back at the Grove - how she saved the city of Meridian before venturing West and defeating Regalla's champion in single combat, so he expects a larger-than-life brute of a warrior. Instead he finds a woman who is curious, fierce, compassionate, more anvil-headed than any Oseram, and, to his surprise, beautiful.
Just another 'Kotallo and Aloy fall in love within the frame of the game' story, told through the eyes of a man who thinks he has little left to live for, and a woman who faces an impossible task alone. Except that she's not alone at all.

Summary
When Kotallo lost his arm, it was more than just a limb that he had lost. It was his prowess with a bow. It was his utility as a Marshal. His arm was gone, his life a ruin, and nothing would ever be the same.
It did not occur to him that this could be a good thing.
It did not occur to him that he could find new purpose in his life. It did not occur to him that an outlander with hair like blood and a spirit as fierce as blazefire would help him find that purpose.
With Aloy as his witness, Kotallo would find himself again, and nothing would ever be the same.

In other words: a wish fulfillment fic where Aloy and Kotallo fall in love over the course of the game. Canon scenes and dialogue blended and padded out with introspection, cozy conversations, smut, and all the GAIA Gang bonding that we deserved. ❤Series
