Satoru tugs off his blindfold, letting it hang around his neck like a dog collar.
“I’ll talk to them, wait here.”
He makes a face when Suguru follows him anyway, which is stupid. They have had this conversation at least ten times this past month.
“Geto,” he snarls.
“Satoru,” Suguru replies, because he is not going to start calling him by his last name now. It’s frankly ridiculous, no matter how much Satoru insists on doing it.

Suguru manages to retake control of his body right after Satoru is sealed.
He's learned two things from being dead and then possessed. First, he knows which higher up wants Satoru dead, enough to risk collaborating with cursed spirits. Second, his (ex) best friend is in love with him.

"Suguru never feels clean. It’s the price he pays for his technique — his body isn’t wholly his. It’s always covered in cursed residues. He’s used to it, but he’s also usually strict about his personal hygiene, as a way to reclaim himself from those beings.
Yet it’s been two weeks since he last showered. His skin feels wrong — yellow and sickly, with patches of pimples on his shoulders. His hair is greasy; even tied back in a ponytail, his scalp itches."
