Katsuki lay on the ground of a rotten old warehouse that held equipment for all the different kinds of sports their school provided education for.
His nose was broken, there were bruises and cuts made by different kinds of shoes littering his bare skin. His face was disgusting, mud from the ground mixed with blood and spit.
It was dark and sorrowful.
Katsuki thought they were doing well.

Kirishima took a step forward, forcing his feet to move, even though they felt like lead.

Skin pale, almost gray, pigments of green evident on his complexion. Eyes closed, lips nearing white. The smell of clotted blood made Kirishima want to throw up, but his body wouldn't move enough to do even that.
He watched the nurses load Katsuki into an ambulance.
It was quiet.
There were no sirens.
