Summary
Because of her nature, Marinette is always on the run. If she isn't, bounty hunters will kill the people she cares about. Unfortunately, one particular incident proves that. Marinette is all by herself, until she isn't. Fortunately, she is adopted by a French couple and is finally able to live the normal life she has always wanted. But it came to an end, as with all good things. She became so engrossed in the drama that she lost sight of the fact that she shouldn't stay put for an extended period of time. She quickly starts working after finally remembering this in the hopes that she won't be too late. Events transpire which led her all the way to Gotham. Will she be dragged back into turmoil or will she finally lead the normal life she has always wanted? With the bats nearby and her history continually chasing her, most likely.

He was so entranced by her. He didn’t recognise what was happening until too late. The railing shook as the performer landed upon it. She was crouched and held on with her right arm, with her left she reached out to him. Her index finger was barely touching his chin but he still had allowed her to tilt his head up to face hers.
Her voice was barely above a whisper, “I heard you were strong.”
