Kim wasn’t someone who startled easily. He’d always been good at keeping himself grounded through all manner of peril. But the first time Harry had changed in front of him, he thought in no uncertain terms that he was going to die. If not from having his jugular ripped out by knitting-needle claws, then by way of cardiac arrest.
But Harry wasn’t capable of hurting him. The wild, untamed wolf-thing within him acquiesced to Kim as if there had never been any question in it at all.
