Summary
When Cpt. Donald Cragen announces his retirement, Olivia assumes that she is the next in line to take over as Acting Commanding Officer of SVU. However, Cragen, unsure of her abilities due to recent personal setbacks and trauma, brings in former SVU Detective and Olivia's former partner – now Lieutenant – Stabler of Organized Crime to take over. He then gives the pair 90 days to prove which one of them should take over the position permanently. Tempers flare and battle lines are drawn as the two battle it out to prove who is the best fit; however, the line between love and hate becomes very thin and they just might give in to other passions as well.
