Summary
As soon as Kara comes back from the Phantom Zone, there is something about Lena Luthor she can't quite figure out. Like why her heart keeps racing when Lena looks at her or why she never wants to let go when they touch.
But when Lena decides she needs to take some time to learn more about herself and her mother, Kara while heartbroken, fully understands.
It isn't until Lena returns that Kara learns a truth she was not expecting to learn.

Summary
Kara Danvers was a famous soccer player. After sustaining an injury during a game, Kara's life was derailed more than she imagined. After learning that rehab may take longer than expected and she might miss playing in the Tokyo Olympics, Kara is in a car accident that strips her chances of ever playing professional soccer again.
With that, Kara moves back to her hometown of Midvale. Hired to be the new music teacher and soccer coach, Kara finds out just how complicated her life will be and how much weight her past holds on her future when she sees her daughter for the first time in over ten years. Remembering the agreement she made with the child's Omega Mother, Kara must pretend that she is not the child's Alpha parent.

Summary
Lena lets out a careful breath and says, “James and I have decided to end our— association.”
What a perfectly weird and roundabout way to describe the end of a romantic relationship, Kara thinks. “Oh?” she says, aptly demonstrating her own comparative lack of eloquence.
It earns her one of Lena’s crinkly smiles at least, affection clear on her best friend’s face. “Should I feel offended that you don’t seem all that surprised?” she flusters.
“No,” Kara says, “I am,” and she is, is the thing, she's actually stunned, but she’s something else, much more than that.
She’s elated.
“Bummer,” Kara says.
