Summary
Hal was starting to regret joining this space mission. Don’t get him wrong, he was all for taking down an elusive fighting ring on Otera, but dealing with the emotional spectrum weirdness wasn’t always his idea of fun.
A simple mission gets out of hand when Hal, Kilowog, and Saint Walker's rings are turned different colors. Now stuck with a violet ring, Hal is their only hope of escaping the fighting arena they've been thrown into. Using it, however, means facing his own complicated relationships, and Hal might not like what the ring reveals.

Summary
Well, the day is finally here and Barry’s starting to worry that him being in charge of such an important family event wasn’t such a great idea. Sure, his kitchen counters have piles of food packages for dishes that he’s meticulously planned out, and okay, he has checked the grill twice a day for the last week to ensure it’s still in working order, and yeah, he took care to read countless blogs and books on hosting the perfect family barbeque. But his overactive brain keeps overthinking every little thing that might go wrong to the point where it’s starting to implode, and now he’s wondering if they should have asked Jay and Joan to host instead.
He’s already committed this year, though, and at the very least Barry is going to try his hardest to keep it from being a total disaster. Or worse, boring. Barry feels very lucky, then, that Hal is earthside and available to lend a hand.

“Hey, Bar?” Hal’s voice breaks the silence. Barry turns to look at him, but Hal’s eyes remain fixed on the sky. The fire’s light illuminates half of his face, and it’s enough for Barry to see the way his brows are cinched together and the slight downturn of his lips.
“Hmm?”
Hal lowers his gaze so that he’s now staring at the ground. He’s hesitating to respond, clearly contemplating what he wants to say. “Do you ever…” Hal stops and then starts again. “Do you remember dying?”
