He seems to consider something. And then — an admission, albeit a hushed one. “Yes,” he whispers. Curbs the affection from scratching the surface.
Your eyes narrow at him, sharp slits that are ill-tempered. “But you won’t let me fuck someone else.”
Rafayel nods his head, no hesitance this time as he already knows he’s being selfish. “Yes,” he whispers, again, another admission that feels too heavy, too loving — too cruel.
You want to give. Rafayel wants to take.

Summary
You step towards him with a wolfish smile. Rafayel slips a finger into one of the belt loops on your pants, tugging you closer. “I think you could stand to be knocked down a few pegs,” you say.
Rafayel’s brows raise, his eyes burning with a challenge. He opens his mouth, but the sound of the elevator arriving has him stepping back, putting a more appropriate amount of space between your bodies.
The elevator dings open and there’s no one else there. You step inside and Rafayel follows immediately, slinking in close enough behind you for you to feel the warmth of him radiating against your back. When you turn to face him, he’s staring down at you.
The door remains open for a few more seconds, waiting for any possible stragglers, and when it seems like no one else will be joining, Rafayel leans in to brush his lips against your ear.
“I dare you,” he murmurs.
So you do.

“You want me to beg?” The way he says it has you clenching around nothing. You hope this isn’t about to backfire in your face because you’re not sure you could live if he were to stop now.
You feign haughtiness as you stare down at him on his knees. “Beg,” you command.
You think he’s not going to do it— that he’s about to call your bluff. You watch as one corner of his mouth lifts into a smile and he throws his head back to laugh breathily. He presses a single kiss to the exposed skin of your thigh and you wait in anticipation. The silence is almost overwhelming. You can hear your heartbeat thudding in your ears and the air between the two of you is heated and still.
And then Rafayel groans, resting his warm face against your leg. “Please,” he whispers.
