Summary
After the Night of Flame, Joshua was taken to Sanbreque by his mother. Dion devoted himself to caring for Joshua, both before and after he awoke from his coma. Although he fell deeply in love with Joshua over the years, he feared that his childhood friend would harbor resentment toward the empire and blame him for the fall of Rosaria, so he kept his feelings secret.
When Waloed invaded, young Dion resolved to confess his love if he survived. Meanwhile, when inexperienced Bahamut faced Odin, the phoenix swooped in to help but was captured. The king of Waloed aimed to break his captive's spirit.
Dion was determined to rescue his love, believing Joshua was forced onto the battlefield by the empire, not knowing that Joshua had come to aid him willingly.

Summary
Every time Clive closes his eyes, Joshua is there, a perfect imitation of the real one. He moves as slow as dripping syrup, and with the sunrise emerging, an amalgamation of a rose-colored twilight shining down on his face, highlighting the light freckles dancing across his pale skin, his smile lines brightening up his entire face.
Clive thinks that their entire palace garden and flowers with the leaves, daisies and roses couldn’t compare to Joshua’s enchanting beauty. Small elegant fingers clasp his own, riddled with callouses, cracked and dry with scars and jagged lines with blood and dirt caked under his fingernails.
*
Or, snapshots of the Rosfield brothers' relationship before Joshua’s sacrifice, and how Clive falls in love more and more every time, from an early age.

Summary
Clive, on cloud nine and braincell-free, hit "post" on social media like a man possessed, screaming to the world: "My baby brother Joshua is having a baby!"
Little did he remember that his three-year secret romance with Joshua was so hush-hush, even their pet goldfish didn’t know. Cue the chaos! His friends blew up his DMs with "CONGRATS UNCLE!!!" messages, while business rivals started placing bets on who the "mystery dad" could be—from the mailman to Barnabas, the horse-breeding weirdo who won’t stop spamming him with "stallion bloodline" metaphors. And to make matters even more absurd, Barnabas still hasn’t given up on luring Clive into his bizarre Mythos Initiative, treating this whole paternity guessing game as just another weirdly timed sales pitch.
Clive is now curled in a ball, cringing so hard his spine might snap, while Joshua alternates between cackling and hyperventilating. Flashbacks of their near-caught make-out sessions are looping in his head like a bad rom-com. They’re staring down the barrel of an "explain NOW" storm, and let’s be real—this mess is equal parts hilarious, mortifying, and peak chaotic energy.

Summary
"Clive, you must understand, this isn't just for you," Asta's tone rising with earnest conviction. "It's for Jill. It's for everyone. The Hideaway needs this, you need this, before you leave for the Origin. To see a sweet love sanctified into marriage, to witness the vows…"
Once upon a lifetime ago, long before the weight of the world knew their names, the three of them played a wedding game. Joshua, not entirely grasping the significance of the bride, cried and insisted on taking on that role, for he understood at least that the bride was the most important to the groom, who was played by Clive.
Growing up, Joshua was certain that he had no right or position to object to his beloved brother marrying someone else before their departure, so that Clive wouldn't have any regrets.
The very vow he had treasured as a golden memory now mocked his silent despair—the heartbreaking certainty that his lifelong, hidden pining was destined to remain unrequited.
Or, was it?

Summary
Joshua’s world was enveloped in a suffocating darkness, his senses overwhelmed by the feel of silk against his skin. The panic clawed at his chest, a living thing, claustrophobic and suffocating. Time became an abstract concept in that void, lost to the rhythm of his own heartbeat.
His mouth tasted of champagne and fear, memories of Dion’s opulent gala fracturing in his mind. The last clear image: Clive’s stormy gaze across the champagne-soaked crowd, Dion’s possessive hand at his back.
Footsteps circled him, deliberate and predatory. Voices, distorted by modulators, taunted with chilling familiarity: "Lesage Jr. has trained him well." Calloused hands mapped his body, contrasting with manicured touches that mocked Dion’s signature bergamot cologne. Every brush of skin was a violation, every whispered threat a promise of darker games.
Who’s really behind the silk and shadows? The answer pulsed in the dark, as dangerous as the hands now peeling away his last defenses.
