Summary
“His weak point is the back of his neck, but if he catches you, he’ll try to end the match.” He hesitated for a moment, and they could see his throat bob beneath the strip of skin between his armor and his mask.
“Be careful, Captain.” His voice, quieter still, betrayed no fear. Only solid resolution.
She smiled and nodded only once. “I will. Thank you, Seox.”
He returned the gesture and reached for the door handle, only to freeze. Her eyes darted to it, or where it should have been, only to see a completely smooth surface. In the heat of the moment, neither of them realized there simply was no handle on the inside.
They were trapped.
Seox let out a tiny, squeaky, “Oh.”

Summary
When was the last time someone had even touched his ears? Seofon tried, often, but he was always too overeager and unpleasant, so Seox always avoided it. The only person he could think of before that was that man, the skyfarer, who dragged him out of the darkness and disappeared all too soon. Before that, well, there was no need to show the monster child any affection. He wanted to believe there was a time before that cold, dark room. Before they realized he was a monster, and he was just a normal kid. But if that time existed, it was lost to the haze of time.
“Sorry, I wouldn’t really know.”
Djeeta affixed him with that heartbroken look she always took on when he mentioned something about his childhood.
“Can I?”

Summary
October 1925. Five years after Osea officially prohibited the creation and distribution of alcohol. About six months since Trigger had to leave her home and accidentally stepped into the world created by the people breaking the law to do it anyway. The seedy world of bootlegging, speakeasies, and rum-running.

Summary
Seox finally accepts Seofon's invitation to get drinks together.
“I think I would prefer to remain sober. My last experience with intoxicants was, well.” He glances at his hands.
All color drains from his face as Seofon realizes the magnitude of the blunder he just made. “Of course,” he stutters.
Seox cuts him off before he can start apologizing. “It’s fine. I appreciate the sentiment.”
“They do have a wide selection of juices, too,” Seofon attempts to recover. “We can just pick from those. Honestly, with outings like these, it’s more about the spirit of things, not the ‘spirit’, if you’ll pardon the pun.”
Seox will not, he thinks, but picks up the menu again all the same.Bookmarked by APchan

(or: akechi never found out the identity of his father, and thus remains ignorant to the comings and goings of the metaverse. that doesn't mean the universe is done with him, however, as he begins unravelling a mystery that certain people would rather keep buried.)

Summary
With a swallow, Martin shifted his eyes back up to her, “I could heal them for you.” Before she got the chance to say no, he quickly continued with a clarification, “There won’t be any cost, I… just don’t like seeing you hurt. And without any proper treatment, the scars will be visible for quite a few years.”
“Will it hurt?” Her jaw set as she asked the question. A lot of children in Kvatch would ask him that after they scraped their knees out playing. It crossed his mind then that perhaps Ziah had never been afforded the feeling of healing being cast on her.
Martin wavered, his fingers slowing but continuing on with their small circles on her wrist, “It could, I won’t lie to you about that either. I’ll endeavor to make it as painless as possible though.” He searched her face for a moment, trying to gauge her thoughts. He frowned again before adding, “But, I’d like to try, if you’d allow me?”Bookmarked by APchan
