Generalized Sensory Hypersensitivity Syndrome (GSH)
from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from "sniper stare")

Generalized Sensory Hypersensitivity Syndrome (GSH) is a condition wherein an individual's sensory perception and processing capabilities are many times greater than standard human ranges. The syndrome is rare; it is estimated that fewer than thirty in one million individuals will manifest GSH at some point in their lifetimes. Lesser forms of the syndrome, causing enhancement of only some senses, are more common, though these individuals are ten to twenty times more likely to develop full-blown GSH later in life...

Although GSH must be carefully managed and its side effects can be debilitating, individuals with well-managed GSH are greatly in demand in the fields of law enforcement, security, intelligence, and defense, to the point that many such organizations will go to extreme lengths to attract, recruit, and retain them.
