Summary
Vox closed his eyes.
He waited to feel Alastor's long fingers, those fingertips that knew every corner of his body, that knew exactly how to press, how to twist, how to make him moan. He held his breath, anticipating the first touch, the first penetration, the moment when Alastor would claim the territory he'd been caressing all night.
But what he felt was different.
Thicker. Softer in some ways, but also firmer. And wet, not from the lubricant, but from an own substance oozing from the surface of that thing now pressing against his entrance.

Summary
Vincent blinked. The jazz radio suddenly became an annoying noise.
"What?" His voice came out rough, still sleepy, but already with that tone of indignation so characteristic of him. "But, Al, you promised that this time we'd stay more than two weeks."
Alastor slid the shirt over his shoulders and began buttoning it calmly.
"This is better, darling."
"I didn't even get to go shopping!" Vincent sat up abruptly, the sheets sliding down to his waist, revealing the ring hanging from the silver chain against his chest. The warm gold glowed for a moment under the filtered light. "I've been staring at that storefront on Royal Street for three days, Al. Three days. That blue suit is calling my name."
Alastor sighed, tucking his shirt into his pants with precise movements.
"You can go shopping when we get back to New Orleans."

Summary
The box rested on his desk, Vox's fingers resting on the lid. The black bow gave way with a firm tug. The lid opened with a soft, almost intimate creak that sounded like a gunshot in the silence of the room.
Inside, on a cushion of velvet as red as the box itself, rested the object.
It wasn't a diamond necklace. It wasn't a jewel for a lover or an elegant accessory for a gala. It was, unmistakably, a dog collar.
Engraved on the tag, in elegant handwriting that Vox would have recognized anywhere, was the name.
Vincent.
