It’s your birthday, and your husband Thorin planned a grand day for you: breakfast in bed, a picnic by your favorite lake outside Erebor, a surprise feast with family and friends (he knows you don’t like crowds), and then an intimate evening together.
But when you wake up to your woman’s time a week early, plans change.(There is no explicit mention of period blood. Only the symptoms of pain and nausea.)

Summary
There are many myths and traditions surrounding mistletoe during the holiday season. This is my take on three versions, one for each Durin.
1. Kíli: Any excuse to kiss you is good in Kíli’s eyes. He just uses Yavanna’s blessed winter plant to do it, no matter how crazy it makes you. Luckily, Lady Dís offers you some counsel, giving you the means to even the score.
2. Fíli: After several years of trying for a child with no luck, you present your husband with an unconventional method. One that involves Elvish lore and medicine. Fíli is willing to try anything for you, but he has some conditions.
3. Thorin: Because of old grudges and your husband’s stubbornness, you find yourself alone more often than not as Mahalamrâg—the Feast of Mahal—approaches. Each day closer to the blessed day with no resolution leaves you anxious and frustrated. With the kingdom’s winter celebration tomorrow, you perform a Mannish offering for Thorin that you remember from your youth to restore peace in your marriage and reunite the King and Queen Under The Mountain.
