Summary
Their eyes darted towards the camp, their companions silhouetted by the firelight- they could make out Karlach’s hulking form, and by the sound of indignant squawking, she likely had Lae’zel in a hold of some kind. Sounds of merriment hung in the air, though the voice of one was distinctly missing.
They knew in their heart just who that would be.
“You can’t be serious.” Creed shattered the heavy silence, eyes widened in disbelief, “That look in your eyes…”
Macaw could not hold back the contemptuous scowl stretching their features, as though assaulted by an acrid smell. “Well, apologies if I’m not capable of casting feelings aside.”//
Macaw grapples with feelings of uncertainty.

Karlach is the first to notice. “Hrm? What’s up?”
Astarion’s expression goes curious- he cocks his head to the side lazily and follows Gale’s line of sight, before he, too, goes slack in shock. An incredulous smile slowly stretches his face, and there’s a moment where he threatens to burst into laughter, though it is subdued as his voice shakes with delighted disbelief.
“Shadowheart and Lae’zel are kissing.”
Karlach whips around so fast her tail slams the soup bowl out of Wyll’s hands.//
Shadowheart and Lae'zel have buried the hatchet and have decided to make it everyone's problem.
