Chapter Text
“So you can dance? For real?”
Vegas had thought he should give Pete the easy treatment and not over do it but theses teasing remarks had earned his partner a proper show. So he led Pete into the first complicated order of steps which the other one was able to follow pretty well although it was adamant that this wasn’t his level of expertise.
“Okay, I get it, show off.”
Pete scrunched up his nose which was clearly a substitute for flipping Vegas off but it was dripping with affection and looked so adorable that Vegas could only smile at him. Therefore, he dipped Pete carefully which finally made him laugh out loud – this was becoming his favourite sound in the world.
As they kept dancing Vegas made eye contact with Kinn across the room who gave him an akward thumbs up after looking at Pete meaningful. Although things between him and his cousin were by no means fixed, Vegas returned the gesture with a crooked smile because it felt like a lot of things would change in the future.
However, when Kinn turned him and Porsche around, Vegas was suddenly faced with the dancer who took in the two of them with a rather critical look. Their eyes met and Porsche made it very clear with one simple gesture that he would be chopped liver if he fucked up again. Before Vegas could send back his acknowledgment or the fact that he didnt’plan to mess up again, Kinn spun the two of them around again – Vegas was almost touched by his cousin looking out for him like that.
“The aunties seem so chill with this whole situation it’s almost uncanny.”
Vegas wasn’t sure where his little brother had come from but he was all of a sudden directly next to them. Apparently, he wasn’t the only one who hadn’t seen him coming because Pete looked as startled as Vegas felt.
“What? You don’t agree with me?”
So far Macau hadn’t mastered to learn the skill of reading the room fully which was a very teeanger thing of him to do and Vegas wouldn’t judge him for it.
“So you took my brother back?”, Pete nodded still a bit baffled but slightly smiling which was the reason why Macau added, “thank fu– umm heavens. It was tragic to watch his sorry ass.”
“Well, it was also tragic to watch my sorry ass so I guess we fit together quite well.”
Vegas had expected Pete to jump on the joke and he frankly would have deserved to get his leg pulled by his brother and boyfriend together. Now, he was pleasantly surprised to even get a soft kiss to his cheek from Pete who looked very happy with himself. This was only made better by Macau grinning at the both of them brightly.
“Do you mind if I join you?”, his little brother asked them almost shyly.
So Vegas ended up dancing with the two most important people in his life at the end of the season show which was something he never could have imagined – he was all the more thankful for it.
