The team heads to a carnival for fun. It was a day before April's birthday and Casey made her a plush that looks just like her with also one of him.
He made them so they can hug and kiss because of small magnets inside of the plushies. He made one before for Donnie. “So how are you doing today, April?” He waited for her to respond but she was too busy with talking to Donnie. He looks down at the plush of April and him hugging.
After April spotted talking to Donnie for a bit…
April approaches Casey and looks at the plushies of her and Casey. “Aww they are so cute, did you make them?” She grabs them and pulls the plushies apart. She plays with the plush as Donnie comes back from washing his hands.
Donnie looks at the plushie of April and smiles. “So you made that, Casey? That's cool” Donnie starts to walk away with April following him as they talk.
Casey frowns and looks down at the plushie of him. “Why did I even make it if she only cares about Donnie and doesn't even pay any attention to me and my feelings?” Casey puts the plushie of him in his hoodie pocket with his head sticking out. Casey accidentally bumps into someone. “I'm sorry I wasn't looking where I wa…”
Karai looks at Casey and stops him. “It's okay. It was clearly accidental and doesn't really need an apology”. Karai looks down at the plushie of him. “Can I hold it?”
Casey wipes the few tears on his check and nods. “Yeah sure I was gonna throw it away”. He hands it to her and sits down at a nearby bench.
Karai holds it and messes with it. “You can't throw this away. It's really nice and… cute. If you don't want it, can I have it?” Karai sits down and leans lightly against Casey. “Can you make one of me? I'll would like to have this plushie of you hugging a plushie of me”
Casey lifts his head to look at her and nods. “Yeah, sure I'm willing to make it but it might take some time” He watches her play with the plushie of him. He leans against her and watches April and Donnie getting close by the minute. “Can we go somewhere else? I don't like it here.”
Karai gets up and follows him as she keeps playing with the plushie. “So why don't you like it here? Is it because of them” she points at them and connects the dots. “So you brought a plushie of you and April but you only took one of her. You were trying to show how you feel about her?”
Casey nods and moves away from April and Donnie. “I'm not good with telling people how I feel. It's just not my skill…” He puts his hood over his head and clinches his fists.
They head to the cotton candy stand and get some.
Karai makes the plushie hold her cotton candy. “So you lose your voice when you want to do it. So you try to show it through arts and crafts? That's cool and cute.” Karai grabs Casey's hand with her free hand and walks with him around the carnival.
Casey looks up at the Faris wheel and points at it. “Um, can we go there if you aren't afraid of heights?” Casey looks at karai and eats some of the cotton candy.
Karai chuckles. “I'm obviously not afraid of heights because I fight against the turtles and are usually on building”
They get into the faris wheel and look down at the carnival.
Casey finishes his cotton candy and looks down. He finds April and Donnie and turns around to see Karai. “I shouldn't have given her that plushie. I should have known that she likes Donnie more than me.”
Karai puts her arms around him and leans against him. “Casey… just forget about April and think about right now. Me and you alone together.”
Casey looks at karai and hugs her back. “Yeah,I should force on us.” Casey leans his head on her shoulders.
Karai rubs Casey's back to comfort him. “Do you want to go home early to rest a bit?” Karai gets off of the faris wheel and brings Casey with her.
Casey holds Karai’s free hand and walks with her to his apartment. “Thanks for being nice compared to your usual self.”
They get into his apartment and sit on his couch to watch a movie together.
Karai lays against Casey's chest with a blanket over her back. “You are so much softer than I thought you would be.” She rested her head against his chest with her arms around his torso.
Casey has one arm around her and uses his free hand to run his fingers through her hair. “Never thought you would be lying with me, or even on top of me.”
Karai looks up at Casey and smiles. “Yeah, I never thought I would fall for a boy like you. I'm happy I did” she rubs his back as she runs his fingers through her hair.
Casey felt a shiver go down his back and looked down at Karai. “This feels better than the cold feeling of rejection. I love you, Karai” He leans closer to her and kisses her lightly on her lips.
Karai kisses him back and cups his cheeks. She breaks the kiss after some time and smiles littlely. “I love you, too.” Karai brings herself up so her head is right next to Casey's head and kisses his cheek.
Casey blushes and kisses her cheek back. He hugs her tightly and lays his head on her shoulder. “Can we stay like this until the morning?” He whispers into her ears.
Karai blushes a bit and lays her head against his head. “Yes we can, you don't need to ask” She goes back to running her hands into his hair and slowly falls asleep.
Casey relaxes and cuddles against her. “Good night, Karai”. He turns off the lamp next to them and goes to sleep.
