The world of Vana’diel is made for adventurers. Everywhere are countless possibilities for a mage, warrior, thief or knight to hire oneself out and to get hold of fame and glory. But death is also lurking behind every rock and bush. The young man Alfred must experience this first hand real fast as he finds himself in the biggest adventure of his life by accident. Side by side with the self-willed Mage Iris he embarks on a journey, which couldn’t be any more dangerous. Because the tribes of orcs and goblins have risen up and somewhere in the background an eerie force is pulling the strings…
(Character biographies)
Al (Alfred): A young warrior from the tribe of Hume. On the search for adventures, he comes to Bastok. On the way there he is ambushed by a goblin and saved by Iris and Max in a pinch.
Iris: A white mage from the tribe of Hume. She is traveling together with Max. She is about two years younger than Al and very pretty. She, however, has a quite explosive temperament.
Jed (Gerald): A red mage from the tribe of Elvaan. Blunt and quiet on the outside, shy and soft on the inside. He is a master of swordsmanship and travelling with Peta on the search for adventures.
Peta (Perutata-Porutata-Prompta): A black mage from the tribe of Tarutaru. She came along with Jed to Bastok and formed a party with Al and Iris. Her age is unknown.
Shera (Mirth Sheratte): A thief from the tribe of Mithra. Self-proclaimed treasure huntress. Seductive and incredibly sexy. She joins Als Party. The reasons for which only she knows.
Max (Maximus): A knight from the tribe of Galka. He is an incredible fighter and as tall as a tree. He is a sort of replacement-father for Iris since her parents disappeared under gruesome circumstances.
