Fifteen Years Later

Summary:

Just a summary of my first crush, spans the week I spent at the NSLC UCLA Aerospace Engineering Summer Program. Each chapter is a day so the first few will be shorter since we didn’t really know each other.

Dedicated to Hafsa, Setya, Maya (I’m sorry a white man did it in one week), Levi, and Aroacenia (you will be missed).

Chapter 1: 5 July - Orientation

My parents drop me off to my dorm at like 2 pm, we get a tour of the campus which I don’t think he attends because I don’t even learn of his existence until day 2.

I meet my American roommates (Lauren and Saanvi), go to dinner, and attend a welcome ceremony, where I talk to two guys, Nathen and Jackson. We than meet up with our TA (Teachers Assistant) groups (there are four groups of twelve, I’m in Victoria’s and Ben is in Anne’s) and we just get to know the other people, I befriend a girl named Helena and a boy named Kelvin. We then meet up with all the girls/enby people on our dorm floor and then head back to our rooms or the showers.

When we get back to our dorms Lauren immediately starts planning a summer camp fling, asking us if we like anyone. I say no and so does Saanvi and she says she likes Nathen from Illinois cause she’s also from Illinois and thinks he’s fine and I’m like I know him kinda if you want me to do anything but she says she doesn’t know if she likes him likes him so I hold off.

And that’s day one.
