The only girl I ever loved was Pran in drag

Summary:

Pat didn't think he would get so much perspective when he walked into the bar that night. After owing Ink a favour, Pran had to dress up for a photoshoot, and Pat never thought his childhood rival would look so good in a wig and a dress.

Notes:

based on the song Andrew in drag, obviously. Enjoy!

Work Text:

Pat thought it would be a funny afternoon. He would go to the bar Ink told him to and laugh at Pran a little bit before going back home.

Pran owed Ink a favour, and when he agreed to let her shoot a few pictures for him, he definitely didn’t think it would come to that. He thought it would be an easy photoshoot, like the one Pat had done, just a few t-shirts for a friend’s clothing brand. But of course it wasn’t that. Pat would’ve paid real money when Ink told Pran that the photoshoot was for a friend who was doing a drag show fashion line. The idea was to get real drag queens or trans women to do it, but they could only get two to agree to do it for free since they couldn’t pay for it. And they had to shoot a lot of clothing, so they needed a couple more hands.

“You’re joking, you’re gonna dress him up in drag?” Pat asked Ink when she told him, mouth gaping before he burst into laughter.

“Well, it’s not drag clothing; they’re just dresses. She just thought it would be interesting to promote it with drag queens.”

“It is. This is amazing. And Pran agreed?”

“He did. I mean… He asked if there was any other way he could repay me the favour, and when I told him I couldn’t come up with anything else, he ended up agreeing.”

“You have to let me come and see the photoshoot, please,” Pat said and clapped his hands together in a begging gesture, making Ink chuckle.

“I mean, you can; we’re going to do it at the bar one of the drag queens works at.”

“Seriously?”

“Yes, but don’t bring your friends, okay?”

“They don’t even know I know Pran, and I wouldn’t subject him to that humiliation.”

“Right, just yours?”

“Exactly,” Pat said with a smile.

He couldn’t lie; he was a little excited to see Pran in that situation, only because he just couldn’t picture it. He had a plan of taking as many pictures as he could, only because he knew that Ink was too good a photographer to take a single bad picture of Pran.

It was on a Tuesday night because they didn’t want the bar to be too crowded while they took pictures. So Pat got ready and went to the address Ink sent him after dinner. It was a queer bar, so he wasn’t surprised when he walked in, and almost everything was pink. The lighting was purple and pink all around and it was decorated over the top. He liked it; it wasn’t his typical bar, but it was really nice.

He walked to the bar to get a drink, and while he was waiting, he turned and saw where the photoshoot was taking place. It was in a corner of the bar, they had a little set going on, and Pat would comment on something else, but his train of thought was completely stopped when he caught sight of Pran.

He shook his head with his eyebrows raised in surprise. Pran was wearing a wig; it was his natural hair colour, and it was straight, stopping right around his shoulders. The dress he was wearing was cream colored, flowy and off-the-shoulder. And his makeup was soft; it enhanced his features, and his eyes looked bigger with makeup. He was surprised; he didn’t think it would suit him so well. It was far from being ridiculous; he looked good. Pretty.

Pran only noticed him a few seconds later, while Pat was still looking at him. He was clearly mortified to see him there; he probably thought nobody would ever see him in that position. Pran opened his eyes widely and gasped, hunching over a little bit to hide himself. Pat smiled at him and grabbed his glass to raise it at him. Pran was telling Ink something angrily. Ink turned to look at Pat and let out a chuckle when she saw him, trying to calm down Pran.

Pat found a table to sit at while he looked at the photoshoot. He watched Pran nervously take a few more pictures before he couldn’t take it anymore and walked over to his table.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Pran snapped, placing his hand on the table. Pat looked up at him with a smile as he sipped his beer.

“What are you talking about? I come to this bar all the time.”

“Pat, I swear to god if you spread these pictures around…”

“Why not? You look great. I might argue that you’ve never looked better,” Pat teased him, and Pran let out a long groan.

“You need to go.”

“This is a public place…” Pat said and shrugged. Pran opened his mouth again to say something, but he was interrupted.

“Pran,” one of the girls called him, probably the designer. “We need to do an outfit change.”

Pran nodded and threw a last deadly glance at Pat before walking away. Ink seemed too busy to come talk to him at the table, but the whole thing looked pretty amazing. Pran walked out of the bathroom of the place with a different outfit, a different wig too. This one was longer, brown, with flowy curls. It really suited him.

Pat wasn’t only surprised by how good Pran looked; he was surprised with himself too. He barely reached for his phone to take pictures; he just watched the whole thing, not even caring about the purpose of going there, which was to tease and mock Pran. But he couldn’t mock him when he actually looked that good.

He could tell that Pran was a little nervous that Pat was there because he kept looking over at his table and getting distracted. Ink was giving him directions on how to pose, and the few times that Pran and he locked eyes, Pat threw him a thumbs up. He pulled a chuckle out of Pran at one point, which he deemed a success. It was always a success if he got to see Pran’s dimples.

At one point, Ink told him something after they finished shooting a look, and Pran nodded, walking away. Pat perked up when he noticed that he was walking over to his table.

“Alright, you’re buying me a drink,” Pran told him as soon as he sat down next to him at the booth.

“Are you guys done?”

“I’m not sure. She told me to wait to see if they need me to change or if they have enough with this,” Pran replied and let out a sigh, moving his hair away from his shoulder. Pat followed the movement with his eyes; he didn’t know how he made it look so natural.

“Alright, what do you want to drink?”

“Just whatever,” Pran mumbled, leaning back on the couch.

Pat walked over to the bar and smiled at the bartender, ordering one of the signature cocktails. Even though it was more expensive, he didn’t mind. Pran looked a little bit too pretty to be drinking a beer.

When he turned to go back to the booth, he was surprised to see that Pran wasn’t alone; there was a guy talking to him. He was leaning against the table and flirting with Pran shamelessly. Pran was just nodding at whatever the guy was telling him, but he didn’t seem too into it. And somehow, Pat didn’t really like seeing Pran in that position, so he walked over to the table. When Pran saw him approaching, he told the guy something and pointed at Pat. When the guy turned and saw Pat, he immediately leaned away from Pran.

“Shit, sorry… Anyways, you look amazing,” he told Pran before leaving.

“Thank you,” Pran mumbled with a tight smile and then turned to look at Pat when he placed the drink on the table. “What the hell is that?”

Pat chuckled when he saw his reaction.

“It’s their signature cocktail. A pretty drink for a pretty lady.”

“Oh my God, Pat. It barely has anything!” Pran complained, making Pat laugh.

“Hey, I was buying you a drink while some other guy was flirting with you.”

“So? You were just buying me a drink; you’re not my boyfriend.”

“You didn’t tell him that?”

“What? No, he asked if he could buy me a drink, and I told him that you’d already gotten me one,” Pran explained, taking a sip of the cocktail.

“Oh,” Pat mumbled to himself. He didn’t know why he was kind of hoping that Pran had lied and told him that he was there with his boyfriend. It was a weird thought. “Do you think he thought you were a girl?” Pat teased him and Pran snorted, shaking his head.

“Pat, he knows I’m a man. This is a queer bar, I don’t think he cares.”

Pat chuckled and grabbed his beer to take a sip, a little surprised that Pran didn’t care that a guy was flirting with him. The bartender had also flirted with Pat for a little bit while he was getting a drink and he didn’t mind, so why did he care more about Pran?

“Have you ever been to a gay bar?” Pran asked casually as he sipped his drink.

“I don’t know, maybe? I’ve been to a lot of bars…” Pat replied as he chuckled. “None like this though. But I like it.”

“So you just came all this way to make fun of me?”

“Yeah, but I failed. You look good; I can’t even make fun of you.” Pat told him, and he could tell that he’d caught him by surprise because Pran nervously looked down at his drink and took another sip.

Now that Pran was more up-close, he could actually appreciate the details more. His make-up looked really good; it was soft and shimmery, it made his eyes look bigger and his lips softer.

“I’m just glad you didn’t bring your friends here…” Pran mumbled and let out a chuckle.

“I’m not that cruel… You didn’t tell your friends?”

“God no, I would never hear the end of it. I didn’t even know you knew.”

“Of course, Ink told me. She was pretty excited about the whole photoshoot.”

“I know, I couldn’t refuse when she told me about it.” Pran leaned back and fixed his dress a little bit. It was red, and it looked a little uncomfortable, but he still looked good in it.

They both turned to look at the set, where Ink was still taking pictures of one of the drag queens and laughing with them as they joked around.

“You have the bus stop tomorrow, right?” Pran asked him casually, and Pat nodded. They’d been alternating just so their friend groups wouldn’t see each other; it was a good system, so far.

Pran started to tell him about what they’d been doing with the bus stop the past few days with his friends, and Pat nodded along, listening to him. It was weird seeing Pran like that, and he could tell that Pran had been dressed like that for enough hours that he’d forgotten he was even dressed like a girl. He spoke like himself and he looked more comfortable the more he drank. He’d seen him drink during the photoshoot as well, probably to ease his nerves. He looked a little tipsy, so when Pat was done with his drink, he got up to get another one and bought Pran another one too.

“What? You didn’t have to get me another one,” Pran told him when he set the drink in front of him. Pat didn’t say anything, just smiled with a shrug and raised his glass at him before he drank.

Pran only chuckled and sipped his drink as well. They talked about their classes, their friends, their parents. It was mostly complaining on both of their parts, but Pat liked talking to Pran about that stuff. He felt like Pran was the only person who would understand him.

As Pran complained about the latest fight he’d had with his mom, Pat looked at him and pictured what their lives would’ve been like if Pran had been born a girl. His father was just misogynistic enough that he wouldn’t want Pat to compete and fight with a girl. Maybe the rivalry between them wouldn’t even exist. Paa and Pran got along just fine, and nobody ever said anything about them. Pat was always the problem.

Maybe everything would’ve been easier. He thought perhaps he would’ve ended up having a crush on Pran if he’d been a girl. He always thought he got along better with Pran than with Ink; he still remembered the time he made a joke and Ink looked at him like he’d grown a second head. The only thought in Pat’s mind had been: ‘Pran would’ve laughed’.

And Pran was laughing right now; he really liked his dimples. He made a cute girl. Pran was just cute in general, but dressed like that made it even worse. He kept tucking his hair behind his ear and pulling up one of the straps of the dress when it slipped down his shoulder. He wasn’t wearing a bra or fake boobs, which would’ve maybe made it a little more believable. But he didn’t think that was the point of the photoshoot; it’s probably what they wanted, for people to tell that the models weren’t actually girls. Plus, Pat had never been a boobs guy.

He didn’t think he’d ever felt like that when he was talking to Ink. Sure, she was pretty; he liked her, but she didn’t quite get him sometimes, and they were friends. He had never confessed to Ink because he didn’t want to lose the friendship. Pran however… Their relationship was so complicated that he would always hesitate when he called him his friend. It just didn’t feel quite right, they weren’t friends, it was something else.

Pran leaned back as he chuckled, crossing one of his legs over the other. It immediately made Pat look down at his legs, they looked nice in that dress. Pran wasn’t exactly skinny, but he didn’t care, he liked it when he could feel his fingers sinking when he grabbed someone’s thigh. And his fingers were itching to grab Pran’s right at that second.

The thought made him shake his head as he tried to focus again on what Pran was telling him, something about Wai complaining about Korn. The last thing he wanted to hear was Pran talk about Wai.

“You didn’t tell your friends you were doing this?” Pat asked suddenly.

“No, I didn’t… Didn’t I say that already?” Pran asked, like he couldn’t remember himself, they’d been talking for a while.

“Oh, yeah, you did,” Pat said and let out a chuckle. “Do you think they would’ve made fun of you?”

“Definitely,” Pran said as he chuckled.

“Well then, aren’t you glad it’s me here instead of them? I’m not making fun of you.”

“Yet,” Pran told him. “I just know you’re gonna blackmail me with unflattering pictures at some point.”

“I would never,” Pat told him with fake innocence, which made Pran laugh. At least he could make him laugh. “Plus, the whole concept of the photoshoot is pretty cool, I wouldn’t want to make fun of it.”

“You’d be making fun of me, not the concept,” Pran corrected and Pat just shrugged, taking a sip of his drink, like he still didn’t want to make fun of it.

“I don’t think I would make fun of them,” Pat said and pointed with his chin at the other drag queens. “So why would I make fun of you?” Pran only rolled his eyes like he didn’t believe him. “People are nice here, I like the place. Who knows? Maybe I’ll come back. Drinks are a little expensive, though…”

Pran chuckled and shook his head.

“I never pictured you in a place like this.”

“Why not? I’m full of surprises, Pran. Maybe I should’ve done the photoshoot with you. Ink said I was a pretty good model,” he joked, letting out a laugh.

“Oh, I would pay to see you in a dress. And don’t expect me to be nice about it, I would definitely make fun of you,” Pran said and leaned his head back as he laughed. He unconsciously pulled his hair over his shoulder and Pat followed the movement with his eyes. “But… Uhm—” Pran continued after he stopped laughing. A nervous smile lingered on his face as he looked down and fidgeted with the stem of his glass. “Ink mentioned that even if they weren’t drag queens, the designer kind of wanted the models to at least be part of the community, you know?”

“Are you becoming a drag queen?” Pat asked him as he chuckled. Pran smiled to himself and shook his head slowly.

“No, but I’m…” He started to say, and he suddenly became so nervous that he brought his hand up to bite his nail. Pat looked at his nails. They were painted black, and they looked pretty, so Pat wanted to tell him not to bite them, but he also didn’t want to interrupt him. “Gay,” he finally let out, and Pat snapped his gaze up from Pran’s bitten nail to his eyes. He raised his eyebrows in surprise before he tried to school his expression so Pran wouldn’t find it rude.

“Really?” Pat asked, genuinely surprised.

“Yeah,” Pran mumbled, shrugging one shoulder and curling a little bit on himself, like he was suddenly uncomfortable, which is the last thing he wanted Pran to feel like.

“Wow, I kind of always thought you liked Ink…” He said as he let out a chuckle, trying to ease Pran’s nerves.

“No, no, definitely not,” Pran said, laughing too and tucking his hair behind his ear. “I told her about it when she told me the concept of the photoshoot.”

“So you came out to her first?”

“Why? Did you want to be the first to hear the news?” Pran teased as he chuckled. “You’re a little late then, I told Wai like two years ago…”

Pat definitely wanted to stop hearing about Wai, so he looked down at Pran’s hands, distracting himself by looking at his painted nails.

“They painted your nails too? They were thorough…” He mumbled and reached over the table to grab his hand and look closer at his nails.

“Yeah, well, I did it. Ink asked me to just paint them before the shoot. I’ll probably take it off tomorrow.”

“You did this? They look nice,” Pat mumbled, still playing with his fingers. “If I did it, they would look awful.”

“I have to make a lot of miniature designs for my classes, so I’m… Pretty dexterous with detailed stuff…” Pran explained with a smile.

“You should keep it. It suits you.”

”I don’t think I could pull off the black nails as a guy,” Pran said and let out a chuckle.

“Why not? It’s pretty rockstar. And you were in a band, right?” Pat told him, making Pran laugh as he nodded. He hadn’t let go of his hand, still playing with his fingers. Pran wasn’t moving his hand away either.

Pat was about to say something else, but they were startled by a flash in their direction. When they turned, Ink had taken a picture of them when she approached their table and they hadn’t noticed her.

“Well, well, aren’t you two supposed to pretend not to know each other?” She asked with a smile and walked up to them.

“I don’t think anyone would recognize me like this either way…” Pran told her as he chuckled and moved his hand away. Pat looked down at the table and immediately missed the warm touch. “Do you need me to change?”

“No, I think we’re done,” she said with a smile. “It was really good; I got a lot of good pictures.”

“Oh, great, I’ll go change then,” Pran said and made an attempt at getting up.

“The others are changing right now, so you might want to wait a bit. But Prim said that you could just bring the dress back here tomorrow if you were too tired to get changed now. She’s gonna leave soon, so you might not catch her before she leaves.”

“Okay,” Pran replied and nodded slowly.

“Thank you so much Pran, seriously. You’re a lifesaver,” Ink thanked him again. “I’d stay for a drink with you guys, but I’m pretty wiped, so I’m just gonna go home. I’ll buy you two a drink, though.”

“What? Pat too? He didn’t do anything!” Pran complained, making them laugh.

“What are you talking about? He kept you company,” Ink pointed out with a smile, and Pran didn’t seem to want to argue with that. “Alright guys, have fun,” she told them as she left.

“She’s right, we’ve been here for a while. You would’ve definitely gotten bored,” Pat teased him with a smile. Pran only rolled his eyes and clicked his tongue, reaching for his drink again.

“Who knows? Maybe that guy would’ve kept me company after buying me a drink,” Pran joked and pointed with his chin at the guy who’d been flirting with him.

“Oh, okay, go talk to him, then,” Pat said and made an attempt at getting up.

“I’m kidding, I’m kidding,” Pran told him, letting out a loud laugh and grabbing his arm to make him sit down again. Pat chuckled and turned to look at him, inevitably sitting a little closer when he sat down again next to him.

Right then, the bartender approached them and placed a couple of drinks on the table, letting them know that Ink had paid for them. They thanked him and clicked their glasses together before they took a sip.

“I’m serious, though, if there’s anything you should keep, it’s the nails,” Pat told him and grabbed his hand again nonchalantly, wanting to touch his fingers again.

“Oh, you don’t think long hair suits me?” Pran teased and ran his free hand through the hair of the wig, which made Pat laugh.

“It does, but you would never wear your hair past your shoulders. Remember when I had it long? You kept telling me to cut it off. Everyone else liked it though…”

“All of the girls in class liked it, and it was definitely against the dress code. I don’t know how you didn’t go to the principal’s office that year.”

“And you didn’t like it?”

“I didn’t say that… I just hated that the rules never applied to you.”

“Maybe I should keep it long again,” Pat said and ran his hand through his hair, making Pran chuckle. “But I definitely wouldn’t look as pretty as you do with that hair,” he finished and grabbed a strand of his hair to thread it between his fingers. Pran looked down at his hand playing with his hair instead of his fingers, and he almost flinched when Pat moved his hand to tuck his hair behind his ear, caught off guard by the gesture.

“Do you actually like how I look?” Pran asked, sounding surprised. “You don’t think I look ridiculous?”

“You’ve looked ridiculous a few times, but this is not one of them,” Pat replied easily, only then noticing how close they’d gotten together.

He moved his hand and pulled up the strap of the dress to his shoulder since it’d slipped down. Pran moved his head and followed the movement before he looked back at Pat, looking a little dazed. Maybe it was because they were both a little tipsy, but Pat grabbed Pran’s hand again, not even using the nails excuse this time, he just did it. And Pran didn’t complain or move his hand away.

He couldn’t help it when his gaze moved down to look at Pran’s legs, still crossed one over the other; it only made his thighs look better. The thing was, Pran wasn’t exactly feminine; he didn't have a small frame or smooth skin. But Pat just didn’t care. He liked that he could still tell that it was Pran, that he was a man. Sure, it’d been interesting to picture their lives together if Pran had been a girl the whole time, but he wasn’t, and Pat still lingered on the idea of having a crush on his next-door neighbour, his rival. Girl or boy, those nouns were still there. Pran was his childhood friend, his neighbour, his rival, his enemy… Or just something else.

They’d been quiet for a few seconds while Pat looked down at their hands and fidgeted with his fingers. Pran only moved his hand away when he reached for his drink.

“Did they make you wear tights?” Pat asked boldly and finally placed a hand on his legs, using the excuse of wanting to feel if Pran was wearing skin-colored tights or not. Pran flinched a little bit but still chuckled.

“They tried,” Pran explained as he laughed. Pat didn’t move his hand away and splayed his palm on his thigh, it was bare. “They were a bitch to put on and I kept ripping them. I don’t know how girls put them on, they’re so uncomfortable… So I just shaved,” Pran replied with a shrug.

Pat raised his eyebrows in surprise and looked down, caressing his leg until his fingers touched his calf, his skin smooth and hairless.

“Seriously?”

“Yeah, I’d never done it, but it was surprisingly quick,” Pran replied nonchalantly. Pat was still in awe that Pran was letting him touch his legs so casually.

“Don’t your feet hurt?” Pat asked when he noticed he was wearing heels too.

“They’re killing me,” Pran replied with a chuckle too. “But it’s better now that I’m sitting down.”

Pat placed his hand on the back of his knee and made him stretch his leg, Pran let him. As he slowly caressed down his leg, he was hung up on the fact that Pran was letting him do that. He grabbed the back of the heel and slipped it off, grabbing his foot with his hand and pressing with his fingers to relieve some of the pain with a massage. Pran chuckled— No, giggled, and leaned a little bit against the couch of the booth, closer to Pat.

“Better?” Pat whispered and turned his head towards him.

“Much,” Pran replied with a smile.

Pat kept his other hand on his thigh, his calf on top of his lap as he continued to press on the bottom of his foot to relieve the pain. He’d never given a foot massage, but he had to admit, it was a little… Arousing, touching so much of Pran and having him so close. Especially dressed like that.

Pran reached for his drink and took a sip, holding it in his hands. Pat couldn’t take his eyes off Pran’s hands and the way he played with the glass, with those long fingers with painted nails. They were in silence, because he couldn’t find anything to say in that situation. He didn’t want to say the wrong thing and for Pran to push him away, which was usually the case with them.

“Ah,” Pran complained suddenly and flinched, leaning forward. Pat gasped and moved his hand away from his foot.

“Shit, did I hurt you?”

“Too hard,” Pran told him as he chuckled. Pat chuckled too and rested both of his hands on his thigh, bringing him closer.

“Sorry,” Pat said with a smile, Pran only shook his head and took a sip of his drink, like it didn’t matter. “Does it taste nice?” He asked curiously, looking down at the cocktail.

Instead of answering, Pran leaned the glass forward, offering him to drink from it. Pat didn’t even hesitate before he leaned in and took a sip. He was looking up, eyes locked with Pran’s as he drank from the glass Pran was holding. The gesture felt oddly intimate, especially since he was still holding his leg and they were closer now.

“It’s good,” Pat said with a smile, looking down at the drink. Pran smiled and took a sip of it himself. Pat stared at the spot where Pran had sipped from; it had a lipstick stain on it, even though Pran’s lipstick was practically gone by then.

Pat leaned his head back against the couch and watched him place the drink back on the table. His hands were still holding Pran’s leg over his lap; the other one was folded and resting on the couch. He had one hand on his hip, touching his dress, and the other one splayed on his thigh. He mindlessly caressed his skin with the pad of his fingers. Pran smiled to himself and turned to look at Pat.

“That tickles,” Pran whispered, and Pat immediately stopped, whispering a soft ‘sorry’ as they both chuckled. “I didn’t say I didn’t like it…”

Pat smiled and continued doing it. Leaning a little closer to Pran.

“You know, the only bad thing about these clothes and hair…” Pat started to say with a smile. “They don’t smell like you…”

He remembered just a couple of weeks ago when they were hiding in the music room and he was this close to Pran. When that sweet smell reached his nose and surprised him, Pat only wanted to lean closer. And it wasn’t a fabricated smell, like cologne or softener; it was just Pran, like he always smelled like that. Now he just smelled like perfume, which wasn’t a bad thing, it just wasn’t Pran.

“Yeah, it smells like perfume, right?” Pran asked with a chuckle. “Is it nice?”

“Not better than how you smell,” Pat said pointedly and leaned closer. “Let me…” He whispered, leaning just a little closer.

He buried his nose on the crook of his neck, just under his jaw. The soft hair of the wig was brushing against his face, and Pran moved his head to the side at the same time as Pat did. Their noses brushed, and they both took a moment before moving, like they didn’t know if the other wanted it. But when neither of them moved away, they both leaned in at the same time and joined their lips together.

When Pat entered the bar that night, the last thing he was expecting to do was to kiss Pran by the end of it. But he wasn’t mad at it, the kiss felt like his chest was about to burst. Maybe it was because it was a huge leap, but he’d never felt like that kissing anyone else.

Pran moved his hand and placed it on Pat’s neck when he deepened the kiss, parting his lips and leaning closer. Pat moved the hand on his hip and slipped it between Pran’s body and the couch, placing it around his waist so he could bring him closer. Pran was sitting sideways, facing him, with one leg folded on the couch and the other stretched on top of Pat’s lap. Pat kept his other hand on Pran’s thigh, and Pran bent his knee when he leaned closer to Pat, sliding his hand back to bury his fingers in his hair.

Pat grabbed the back of his thigh and squeezed his fingers on his skin before he slid them down and slipped them inside his dress. Pran was leaning forward, trying to press his body against Pat’s, but it was hard with his bent knee on the couch, so he slipped his leg in between Pat’s legs, hooking it behind his knee to bring him closer.

They both parted their lips at the same time and slipped their tongues together, searching for more. They were getting a little bit desperate, kissing faster and knocking their teeth together every once in a while, breathing heavily into each other before they had to lean back. They didn’t move away too much; their noses were still brushing against each other as they tried to catch their breaths.

Pat bit his lips and slowly opened his eyes to look at Pran, their faces were impossibly close together. Pat had always kind of liked Pran’s eyes, but he liked them even more with that soft shimmery makeup. He moved his head up and brushed his nose against Pran’s before he spoke.

“You wanna get out of here?”

Pran didn’t reply and just nodded his head slowly, a small smile on his face.

Five minutes later, they were in the back of Pat’s car, making out like the world was about to end. Pran was sitting on his lap, with his hands buried in his hair as he kissed him. Pat had never felt like that when someone pulled on his hair and played with it. He bit his lip at the same time as he squeezed the back of his thigh, slipping his hand inside his dress.

Pran was trying to make out with him, but every once in a while, he would move his hair out of his face, like it bothered him. It was pretty, but it was definitely getting in the way. Pat leaned back and stopped kissing him just to help him move the hair out of his face.

“Wait, aren’t you hot in that thing?” Pat whispered as he threaded his fingers through the wig. “Don’t you want to take it off?” He asked and pulled on it gently.

“No, wait,” Pran stopped him and grabbed the wig before he could take it off.

“What?”

“Don’t you…” He started, hesitating and biting his lip nervously. “Don’t you want me to wear this?”

“Not if it’s uncomfortable,” Pat replied easily and shrugged. Pran stared down at him and stuttered before speaking.

“I thought… I thought you were only doing this…” Pran said, hesitating. “Because I looked like this…”

Pat frowned when he heard that, looking up at him and trying to understand why he was saying that. He stopped touching his hair and moved his hand to his cheek.

“And you let me?” Pat whispered, leaning closer to him. Pran frowned, nodding slowly, and Pat felt his heart clench when he saw his pained expression.

“I thought that having you once like this was better than not having you at all,” Pran whispered, their noses almost brushing at the proximity. Pat moved his hand to the back of his neck and threaded his fingers through his hair before he slipped them inside the wig cap.

“Take this off, come on,” he said softly, pulling on it. Pran seemed hesitant, but he pushed back the bangs and pulled the wig and wig cap off his head at the same time. He quickly ran a hand through his hair to fix it after taking the wig off. “There you are,” Pat said with a smile, also running his fingers through his short hair. Pran’s hair.

Pran suddenly seemed much shyer than before, like he was naked in front of Pat even though they hadn’t taken anything off.

“Come here,” Pat whispered and slipped his hand behind his neck to bring him down into a kiss.

Pran practically melted against him, wrapping his arms around his shoulders and kissing him back just as eagerly as before. Pat was resting his hands on his hips and trying to bring him closer. He could tell that even though Pran was moving his hips against him, he was barely getting any friction because he had the dress. It had slipped up his thighs so he could sit on his lap comfortably, so Pran’s legs were practically completely bare.

Pat squeezed his thigh before he reached between his legs, but Pran gasped and grabbed his hand to stop him.

“Wait,” Pran whispered against his lips before he leaned back to look at him.

“What? Are you wearing women’s underwear?” Pat joked, chuckling a little bit to ease the tension, it made Pran smile too.

“No, just mine,” he said as he chuckled. “It’s just…” Pran hesitated and looked down at Pat’s hands resting on his legs. “Are you… Are you sure?” Pran asked in a whisper.

“I am. But I don’t think you are,” Pat said, sure of himself.

“No, no, fuck,” Pran said and leaned back, running his hands through his hair nervously as he let out a long sigh.

“If you don’t want this, we can…”

“I do. I’ve always…” He stopped himself before he continued speaking, raised his hands and covered his face before he spoke again. “Sorry, I’m just… Really confused.”

“Why? What’s wrong?” Pat asked, trying to make his voice sound soft.

“I thought you wouldn’t want me to, like…” He started, fidgeting with his hands nervously before he continued speaking. “I thought you would’ve wanted to pretend…”

“Pretend you were a girl?” Pat asked, baffled. And Pran nodded slowly.

“I mean, this is the first time you flirt with me and I look like a girl…” Pran pointed out and let out a sigh. “I don’t mind it but… I didn’t think you would want to, uhm… Touch me. You don’t have to, I—”

“Pran, what the hell are you talking about?” Pat cut him off, and Pran was caught off-guard, raising his gaze towards him. “I might’ve… Realized some stuff seeing you like this. But that doesn’t mean I was planning on using you.”

“Sorry, I…” Pran started, getting a little teary-eyed. “Fuck, I ruined it…” He whispered as he tried to compose himself. Pat shook his head and raised his hand to touch his cheek so he could get his attention back.

“No, you didn’t… It’s fine.”

“It’s not,” Pran said quickly. “The one time you pay me any attention and I get all… Emotional,” he said, frustrated with himself.

“What? I pay attention to you…”

“Never like this…”

“Well, I am now, it’s not like I’m going to change my mind tomorrow, you know?”

“I don’t know that. What if you lose all interest as soon as you see me back in my clothes?”

“I won’t,” Pat whispered with a smile. “Let’s not do anything tonight, okay?” he said, and raised his hand to wipe away his cheeks. “I want you to feel like yourself when you’re with me.”

“Okay,” Pran whispered, sounding defeated, or like he didn’t believe him. Pat knew that no matter how much he assured him with words, Pran wouldn’t believe him until he saw it for himself, so he decided not to say anything.

Pat noticed Pran curling in on himself, not leaning on Pat anymore. And he uncomfortably crossed his arms over his stomach. That's when Pat realized that Pran had just been playing a part because he thought Pat liked it.

“Wait, I think I have…” Pat mumbled and leaned down to grab his rugby duffel bag that rested on the floor of his car. It was in the backseat, but it fell down when they started making out.

He rummaged a bit until he found what he was looking for, and pulled out his clean spare t-shirt.

“Here…” Pat mumbled and made Pran raise his arms so he could put on the shirt over the dress. He immediately looked more comfortable, more himself. “There, better?”

“Yeah, thank you…” Pran whispered as he nodded slowly.

They moved to the front seats. Pat felt sober enough to drive to their dorm, and it wasn’t too far away. Pran was sitting on the passenger seat, looking down. His legs were pressed together and the wig was resting on his lap. He looked… Embarrassed, like he’d done something he wasn’t supposed to. Pat worried his lip between his teeth and thought about it for a moment before he reached over the console and grabbed his thigh again.

Pran seemed surprised by the gesture, but the last thing he wanted was for Pran to get in his head just because Pat wanted to stop. He smiled at Pran softly when he looked at him, and he wrapped his hand around his thigh before he gave him a reassuring squeeze, trying to get him to relax.

They were in silence for the rest of the trip, and Pat kept his hand on his thigh, caressing it or squeezing it from time to time. Pran seemed to relax more as the drive went on. They got to their dorm before they realized. And as they went up the elevator, Pat looked at Pran, who suddenly looked so small. He had the heels in his hands as he walked barefoot, and the wig in the other hand. He looked better with Pat’s t-shirt, but the dress was peeking under it.

Pat was in the middle of thinking what to say to him while he got out his keys when he heard Pran say something right when they got to their door.

“Oh, fuck…” Pat turned and saw him rummaging in that tiny bag they’d given him with the dress.

“What?”

“I left my keys with my clothes…” He whispered, letting out a long sigh and turning to look at Pat, defeated. “I only grabbed my phone; I was going to get my stuff tomorrow when I went back to leave the dress.”

Pat chuckled and leaned against his door as he shook his head.

“It’s fine, I don’t think either of us was thinking straight when we left the bar…” He assured him with a smile. “It’s a good thing we live next to each other. Come on,” he told him and opened his door with his keys.

Pran followed him inside, muttering a low ‘thank you’. Pat had never been more glad to have cleaned his room.

“Uhm… You probably want to get out of those clothes. Here…” Pat said and walked over to his closet to pull out a pair of shorts. He threw them at him and then pointed at the door in the room. “Bathroom’s there.”

Pran disappeared into the bathroom, and Pat was left alone in the quiet of his room. He let out a long sigh and rubbed his face before he looked back into the closet to find something to sleep in. He couldn’t even blame him, of course Pran would be confused if Pat started to flirt like that with him out of nowhere just because he was dressed like that. But he never thought that Pran would actually believe that he would want him to pretend. How could they pretend either way? Maybe Pran thought that if Pat just didn’t touch him, or if they fucked with Pran facing the other way with the wig on, it would be kind of believable. But the thought of making Pran do that gave him shivers. And he couldn’t believe that Pran was willing to do that.

He was on his bed, scrolling on his phone, when he heard the bathroom door open.

“Pat?” He heard Pran call for him and he immediately put down his phone.

“Yeah?”

“Do you have— Uhm, Make-up remover?”

Pat smiled to himself and got up from the bed, leaving his phone behind.

“Yeah,” he replied, walking inside the bathroom to show him where it was. It was the same one he’d bought when he’d done the photoshoot with Ink.

He opened the cabinet behind the mirror and pulled it out, along with some cotton pads.

“Want me to help you?” Pat asked him with a smile.

“I had to help you last time.”

“Right, I have to repay the favour.”

Pran chuckled and let out a sigh as he gave him the cotton pads. Pat grabbed them and put a little bit of the product on before he started gently swiping the pad on his face.

“You’re wearing a lot of makeup, didn’t you say that was—”

“I was doing drag, Pat. Fuck off,” Pran mumbled and let out a chuckle. When Pat finished taking off his face makeup, Pran looked in the mirror and grabbed one of the lashes to pull it off.

“Oh my God,” Pat exclaimed when he saw him do that. Pran flinched, not expecting that reaction. “You can just rip them off?” Pran started laughing loudly at his reaction.

“Yeah, of course. Do you wanna do the other one?” He asked and closed his eyes, leaning in so Pat could pull off the other lash.

“Wait, does it hurt?”

“No, it doesn’t. Just grab it and pull on it gently.”

Pat leaned in and grabbed the lash gently before he started pulling on it, amazed at how easily it came off. Pran chuckled at his amazement.

“Has your sister never worn fake lashes?”

“No, she just wears mascara, that’s why I thought you were ripping off your own,” Pat said as they both chuckled. “Okay, come here,” he mumbled and brought him closer to press the cotton pad on his eye so he could take his eye makeup off. He rubbed it a little bit and gasped when he took it off.

“What?” Pran asked and turned to look at himself in the mirror. He also gasped when he saw that Pat had only smeared the makeup and now he had a black eye. “Pat!” He yelled and they both started laughing loudly. “Oh my God,” Pran whispered as he tried to stop laughing, leaning down and grabbing his stomach as they both laughed. Pat was trying to hold himself up on the sink, laughing hard as well.

“Okay, okay, sorry, come,” he told him as he grabbed his chin so he wouldn’t move his face as he cleaned the makeup. They were still chuckling and trying to keep still so Pat could take his make-up off cleanly.

Pran rubbed his eyes and turned to look in the mirror to make sure that Pat had gotten everything off. He still grabbed a clean cotton pad to take off any residue. His face was a little puffy, and his eyes were red, but he still looked cute.

“Thank you,” Pran mumbled as he rubbed his face. Pat smiled at him and tapped his hip before he leaned away from the sink.

“Let’s go to sleep. you must be exhausted,” he said, walking out of the bathroom with Pran behind him. He looked at the bed, and thought about it for a second before he spoke. “I can sleep on the floor if you’re more comfortable like that,” Pat told him easily and pointed at the floor. Pran immediately shook his head.

“No, no, I can sleep on the floor, it’s fine, it’s your bed…”

“Pran, you’re not sleeping on the floor.”

“It’s fine, Pat. I don’t mind.”

“But I do,” Pat cut in, sounding serious. “So you either sleep on the bed by yourself or share with me, but I’m not letting you sleep on the floor.”

“With you?” Pran asked, baffled.

“We were just making out in my car, Pran. I don’t want you to sleep on the floor. I’ll sleep on the floor if you're uncomfortable with me, it’s fine. I just want you to be comfortable. But if you’re not…”

“I am,” Pran replied almost immediately.

“Okay, let’s go to bed then,” Pat said and got on the bed, pushing away his Nong Nao before Pran saw it.

Pran also got on the bed, but Pat couldn’t help but notice that he was on the edge, away from him. His bed wasn’t a king-size, but it was bigger than a single, thankfully. They could both fit comfortably, but only if they didn’t leave that much space between them.

“I don’t bite, you know,” Pat said and Pran chuckled, covering his face.

“I don’t know if you want to cuddle…”

“What makes you think I’d be kissing you and touching you like that in public and then I wouldn’t want to cuddle with you in private?”

“The fact that I’m not wearing a dress and a wig anymore?” Pran guessed and Pat let out a loud groan.

“Jesus Christ, Pran,” he said and pulled on his arm to bring him closer.

Pran snorted and let himself be hugged by Pat, wrapping one of his arms around him and resting his head on his chest.

“Plus, I can only sleep if I’m hugging something.”

“Like your pillow?”

“A plushie. I’ve hidden it though, too embarrassing.”

“You saw me dressed as a girl, I think I win on that one,” Pran mumbled, making him chuckle.

“Nothing embarrassing about that,” Pat said and raised his hand to thread his fingers through Pran’s hair, his short, natural hair. “Let’s go to sleep.”

“Mh, good night,” Pran mumbled before he started breathing a little deeper.

Pat wasn’t used to sleeping with someone on the same bed, even when he had girlfriends, they never stayed over. It was the downsides of still living with your parents. But now that he was living by himself, he never thought the first person he would share a bed with would be Pran. But he quite liked it. Pran was warm, and cuddling him was better than sleeping with Nong Nao.

They didn’t move too much during the night, but they’d alternated between being big spoon and little spoon. Pat could confidently say that he liked both, but since he was used to hugging something, he liked squeezing Pran between his arms the most. When they woke up, Pat was hugging Pran from behind and he had his face buried in his neck. He smelled like himself now, and a little bit like Pat too, maybe it was the clothes. But he definitely needed to move away from Pran, because he had a little problem pressing against him that Pran wouldn’t take too long to notice. Maybe not little, but definitely a pressing problem.

When he tried to scoot away from him, that’s when Pran started to stir awake, which did not help his problem. Pran moved a little bit and unknowingly rubbed his erection, so Pat suppressed a gasp and immediately grabbed Pran’s hip to stop him. Pran hummed, still sleepy and a little confused. Pat couldn’t help the snort he let out at the situation and he buried his face in Pran’s neck.

“Sorry,” he whispered before leaving a kiss on his neck.

“Mh?” Pran hummed and turned his head to try to see him. “Oh,” he whispered and let out a snort too, chuckling. “Sorry.”

“Why are you apologizing?” Pat asked just as Pran turned around to face him.

“Kind of my fault, right?” He said in a teasing way.

“Yeah,” Pat whispered and leaned in to kiss him. It definitely caught Pran a little bit off guard, but he kissed him back, wrapping his arms around him.

Pat grabbed his leg and made him throw it over his hip, slipping his hand under the hem of his shorts, it didn’t feel too different from when he did it with the dress. With their bodies pressed like that as they lazily made out, it didn’t take too long until Pran was hard too.

The kiss got a little more heated when they started moving their hips and pressing them against each other. They both knew they were hard, and they’d been so close to doing it just a few hours ago, that neither of them felt embarrassed for being a little desperate. They were grinding against each other, their legs tangled as they made out and tried to get as close as possible.

He was holding one of Pran’s legs over his hip, gripping the back of his thigh like he didn’t want him to get away, and his other leg was between Pat’s. It was lazy, because they were still sleepy, but it didn’t make it any less better. Pat felt warm against Pran, in a nice way; he didn’t want to let go of him. Pran was starting to let out tiny gasps as he ground his hips against him, and Pat couldn’t help but let out a moan when Pran bit his bottom lip and pulled on it. He was a good kisser, Pat had never felt so lost while kissing someone, he was more used to taking the lead, but with Pran, it felt like they were on equal footing, and he liked that.

“Can I?” Pat whispered, breaking the silence between gasps and heavy breathing. He wanted to slip his hands inside Pran’s shorts, but he also didn’t want Pran to react like he had the night before.

“Mh,” Pran hummed instead of answering and ground his hips against him, sounding a little desperate.

Pat slipped his hands inside his shorts and underwear and lowered them a bit. He still couldn’t believe Pran thought that he was doing all of that just because he was dressed like a girl. Sure, he looked cute, but Pat always thought he did. He just never considered it a possibility, but now that he did, it wasn’t hard to picture him like that. He wanted to prove to Pran that he genuinely didn’t care if he was a guy, so he stopped kissing him and leaned back. Pran searched his lips but ended up leaning his head against the pillow to watch what Pat was going to do.

Pat kissed his neck and went down his body without taking his shirt off. He pushed him to lie flat on his back and he got in between his legs before he wrapped his lips around his dick. Pran gasped and immediately grabbed Pat’s hair, threading his fingers in it and suppressing a moan. He didn’t want him to feel like he had to suppress any noises, so he slowly went down his dick and sucked harder.

It was the first time he was sucking someone’s dick, but he’d had it done to himself a couple of times, so he knew how he would like it done. He was going slow just because he didn’t want to mess it up or choke. And they were both sleepy enough that they didn’t care. He looked up at Pran, who had a hand over his face and the other buried in Pat’s hair.

Pat grabbed the back of his thighs and made him bend his legs so he could get more settled between them. Pran’s dick wasn’t too big that it would be uncomfortable to suck, but he also wasn’t small enough that he could comfortably go down on him. So he went slowly and focused on the tip, sucking hard and letting his saliva wet his dick as much as he could.

“Pat—” Pran gasped and gripped his hair tighter. He sounded like he was on edge, so Pat stopped sucking his dick.

Pran was breathing harshly, trying to come down from his high. Pat smiled to himself and kissed his leg until Pran looked down at him. He smiled up at Pran when he finally did, and left a kiss on his knee when he sat up.

“Come here,” Pran whispered and grabbed his arm to make him lean closer to him so he could kiss him. Pat was caught off guard by the kiss. Pran hooked his hands on the back of his neck and kissed him fiercely, parting his lips and slipping his tongue inside his mouth before Pat could react.

Pat practically melted against him as he reciprocated the kiss, getting settled between his legs. He ground his hips up, trying to find some friction against him as they made out. Before he even had the chance to sneak a hand between their stomachs so he could pull out his dick, Pran pushed his shoulders back and stopped kissing him. He made him lie down on the bed and got on top of him, straddling his lap. He was looking up at him now and he felt a little dizzy at the sight. Pran still had bed hair and his lips were red from making out; his face seemed sleepy but still filled with lust. He placed his hands on Pat’s shoulders and leaned down to kiss him when he felt Pat’s hands on his waist.

Pat chuckled against his lips when he felt Pran slip a hand inside his shirt so he could caress his stomach, it was a little ticklish but he didn’t mind. He only leaned back when he raised his shirt up to his chest. Pat got the message and raised his arms so Pran could take off his shirt. The night before, they hadn’t taken anything off, so everything was new now. Even though Pran had seen him shirtless plenty of times, Pat felt like Pran was finally just looking.

He caressed his chest slowly, and when Pat looked down, he felt himself getting harder at the sight of Pran’s hands on his body, especially with those painted black nails. He hadn’t been lying the night before, he really liked the look of it, and he hoped Pran kept it. He moved his hand and placed it on top of Pran’s before he leaned down and started kissing his chest. Pat felt bold enough to move his hands from his waist down to his ass when Pran started kissing his neck.

He felt Pran’s hands on his stomach before Pran lowered his shorts and finally pulled out his dick. Pat gasped and threw his head back when he finally felt some friction against his dick. Pran wrapped his hand around both of their cocks and started to slowly jerk them off together.

Pat let out a moan and gripped Pran’s legs, moving his hips up and trying to meet Pran’s thrusts. He knew he would leave a mark with how hard he was grabbing the back of Pran’s thighs, but he didn’t care, and Pran didn’t seem to care either. Pran searched for his lips and tried to kiss him, but ended up moaning after a particular thrust.

Pat could tell that Pran was already too close because he’d just sucked his dick, so he gripped his legs and changed their position, getting on top of him in between his legs. Pran let out a loud moan and threw his head back, gripping Pat’s shoulders and arching his back against him.

“Fuck,” Pran whispered before he let out a giggle, probably not expecting himself to get so loud. Pat smiled down at him and leaned in to kiss him deeply.

He started thrusting, making sure that their dicks slid together to make him feel good. Pran moaned again, keeping one of his hands on Pat’s neck and the other on his shoulder. He could tell Pran was starting to let go because he was moaning non-stop now. Pat pushed forward, pressing one of his hands on the back of Pran’s thighs and making him bend his legs against his chest. He buried his face against Pran’s neck and kissed him there as he continued to thrust, getting louder too.

“Fuck, Pran,” Pat whispered against his ear and squeezed his eyes shut, keeping his mouth open as he gasped and moaned.

“P— Ah…” Pran moaned and buried his blunt nails on Pat’s back, arching his own and gasping around his name before his body went taut. “Pat,” he moaned when he came between their stomachs.

Pat frowned and leaned back to see his face, still in bliss as he rode his orgasm. Pat pressed his forehead against Pran’s and continued to thrust until he came too, letting out a choked-off moan before he buried his face against Pran’s neck.

They both gasped and breathed heavily against each other, trying to come down from it. Pat smiled to himself and started kissing his neck, making him chuckle and hug him tighter.

“God,” Pran whispered as he chuckled, covering his face with his hand even though he was still hugging Pat close, like he couldn’t believe what they’d just done.

Pat smiled and kissed his face before he reached for a tissue from his bedside table to clean his stomach. He kissed Pran’s shoulder before he fell back on the bed next to him, tucking himself in. Pran did the same and let out a long sigh.

“If I had known…” Pran mumbled, covering his face with his hand. Pat looked at him with a confused look.

“What?”

“If I had known that all it took to get you was to do drag, I would’ve done it years ago,” Pran said and made Pat let out a surprised chuckle.

“Pran, I can’t believe you would’ve actually gone through that,” Pat exclaimed and sat up a little bit, leaning on his elbows. “You did not have to pretend.”

“Well, how would I have known? You never pay attention to me.”

“That’s definitely not true,” Pat said and let out a chuckle. “I just… I’m confused. When I asked you if you didn’t want this, you said ‘I’ve always…’, but you didn’t finish…” Pran let out a long sigh and covered his face with his hands.

“Do I have to say it?” He whispered, and Pat smiled to himself.

“You don’t have to. But don’t hold back just because you’re embarrassed. I just… I wanna know.”

“I’ve always liked you,” he finally let out without moving his hands away from his face. Pat couldn’t help the smile on his face when he heard that.

“Well, you’re very good at hiding it. I thought you hated me.”

Prann finally moved his hands away from his face to look at him and give him a confused look.

“We’ve never actually hated each other.”

“No, but it’s not like you want to be close to me; you always push me away.”

“Because you’re so confusing! You always want to tease me like we’re so close and I can’t handle it when I know I don’t have a chance with you,” he told him frustratedly, making Pat chuckle.

“Well, you clearly do.”

“Oh my God, shut up,” Pran said and rolled his eyes, moving away from him. Pat chuckled and leaned closer to him, grabbing him by the waist so he could kiss his cheek and tease him more.

“Come on, are you gonna give me a chance?” Pran snapped his head to the side to look at him.

“A chance to what?”

“Uh… Date? Isn’t that obvious?”

“Aren’t you the optimist? What about our parents? Our friends?”

“What about them?” Pat replied with a shrug and a smile, cuddling closer to him.

“They all hate each other!”

“And we like each other. I don’t see anything more important than that…”

“God, you’re impossible…”

“Can we not talk about all those other problems? Who cares? We’ll deal with that later.”

“Fine,” Pran finally said and let out a long sigh. Pat smiled and brought him in for a kiss. “You have the bus stop today, remember?”

“You don’t wanna lie in bed for a bit longer?” Pat pouted.

“Don’t try to get out of it, come on. Plus, I want to shower; I still feel like I didn’t get all of that makeup off…” Pran said as he rubbed his face.

“Okay, let’s do this. I go to the bus stop and you get your clothes and your keys back… And then we have dinner together, mh?” Pat asked him and squeezed him between his arms.

“Okay,” Pran mumbled and smiled when Pat kissed him excitedly.

They both got up and Pran took a quick shower and changed into some of Pat’s clothes since he still didn’t have any of his. When he walked out of the bathroom, Pat had made some breakfast for him.

“What’s this?” Pran asked, still drying his hair with the towel.

“We didn’t even have dinner last night. Aren’t you hungry?” Pat said and leaned against the counter, smiling up at him.

“Yeah, a bit. Aren’t you?”

“Oh, don’t worry. I got my fill this morning,” Pat said and swiped his finger on his lip. Pran gasped and slapped his shoulder, making him laugh loudly.

Pran grabbed one of the toasts and bit into it just as Pat looked down at his phone when he got a text. He frowned and grabbed it to see who was texting him. It was Ink, he smiled to himself when he opened the message.

“Look,” he said and turned the phone to show Pran, he walked around the kitchen aisle to stand next to him. Pran almost choked on the toast when he saw what he was showing him.

It was the picture Ink took while they were talking together at the booth. Pat was holding his hand over the table and they were looking at each other as they smiled.

“God, I look ridiculous,” Pran mumbled to himself.

“What? No, you don’t. We look good together, right?” Pat said and pulled him closer, making Pran chuckle. “But, yeah, you’re right. I like it more when it’s just you. Maybe we ought to repeat the picture but just as yourself.”

Pran turned to look at him and smiled, raising his arms to place them around his shoulders and bring him closer.

“Yeah,” he whispered and brought him in for a kiss. Pat placed his arms around his waist, hugging him tightly as they kissed. He knew he needed to leave at some point to meet his friends, but he really didn’t want to leave Pran, not when he finally realized what was right in front of him. At least he could tell that Pran didn’t want to leave him either, because they continued to kiss until they lost track of time.
