Something wrong...

Summary:

Nakamura starts to crush on Matsumura, doesn't know why, and gets hit with unreasonable biology.

OR,

I'm a larper who found Nakamura absolutely pathetically adorable and wanted to write about it. I swear I'll watch the anime someday.

Chapter 1: With Nakamura.

Chapter Text

Now, Okuto was well aware that there was something wrong with him. It isn't even about liking guys anymore, it’s about… it's about..!

It's about liking Matsumura-Damn-Kosei!

Okuto doesn't even know when he had been thinking about Matsumura more than he was thinking about Hirose! Or maybe he does, but he doesn't wanna know why it started in the first place!

It definitely didn't start when he thought about how good Matsumura was with kids, totally. And it most definitely didn't start when he finally admitted to himself that the creep was handsome!

“This isn't you, Okuto!” He groaned, digging his face into his pillows. He should be thinking about Hirose— sweet, kind, and warm Hirose! Not Matsumura and his obsessive tendencies, and his stalking behavior!

He had groaned and whined, telling himself that it's all Matsumura’s fault for being almost good at everything, and having a nice scent, and a nice voice, until his sister barged into his room to tell him to shut up.

𝘛𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸, he thought to himself. 𝘐'𝘮 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘣𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸.

No. Nakamura Okuto did not go back to normal.

He woke up, got ready for school, walked through the gates searching for Hirose before entering the school building and going to his classroom.

He thought he went back to normal, because he was thinking about Hirose the moment he woke up! He looked for him, even!

He had watched Hirose, tried to talk to him and embarrass himself as usual for Hirose, and hung out with Hirose during lunch.

He 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 he went back to normal.

Until class ended and he was getting ready to walk home with Hirose. Until he sees that damned familiar face by the gate, with the perfectly combed hair and straight posture.

𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘶𝘳𝘢.

Oh Lord. Why does he have to be so handsome?

“Oh! Ko-chan, what're you doing here?” He and Hirose stopped walking, and he would've found the way Hirose tilted his head like a puppy cute if he wasn't suddenly so interested in looking at the road. It's such a nice road…

“Have you forgotten again? We're supposed to be going to this new cafe…”

Damnit! He sounds so sad!!

“I'm so sorry, I totes forgot! We can go now if-” Hirose gets cut off by one of their teacher's voices calling out to him.

And… It's basically the same as when he and Matsumura first met. Only-

“Uhhh, actually, maybe Nakamura can go with you!”

“W- wha- HUH!?”

“Ko gets lonely, can you please accompany him? It's just for today!”

“Wait, Hiro-”

“Thanks, Nakamura!

Aaand… There he goes.

He risked a glance at Matsumura and flinched, finding that the taller guy was already looking at him.

And they just stare at each other. For at least half a minute before Nakamura opens his dumb mouth.

“... W- we don't have to go…” He stuttered quietly, fidgeting with the hem of his uniform. He doesn't want Matsumura, as dumb as he sometimes acts, to notice his growing crush on him.

Ah, but unfortunately it seemed like fate had different plans for the shy, gay, teenage boy named Nakamura Okuto. Because Matsumura had muttered “𝘓𝘦𝘵'𝘴 𝘨𝘰” before grabbing Okuto by the sleeve and dragging him away from the school gates.

The silence they shared during their walk to the cafe was absolutely awkward. Okuto isn't one to start small talk, and Matsumura doesn't seem to be in the mood to start a conversation.

Matsumura is always up to brag about his relationship with Hirose as his childhood best friend, so this was just so weird!

“You looked at him differently.”

“I- huh?”

Well. That's a way to start a conversation.

“I don't know what you're talking about.”

Matsumura stopped walking and Nakamura stopped with him.

“You're looking at me differently too.”

And Nakamura, poor Nakamura, can't lie for the life of him. “You're just seeing things.” He said, and decided to continue walking towards the cafe that was only a few buildings away by now.

“My eyes are perfectly fine.”

“Then maybe you didn't sleep right.”

“Naka-”

“Look, we're here.”

Before them stood a decently sized cafe. Through the glass windows, Nakamura could see that there weren't a lot of customers this time. Last time, it was like it was filled to the brim and had to wait at his table for an hour so that it cleared up a bit before getting up to order.

They entered the cafe and were immediately met with squeals. Okuto can relate, BL manga really gets his heart running. What he didn't know was that those squeals were because two guys entered a damn BL cafe together. Oh well.

They sat by the corner, and then a waiter was quick to give them a menu.

He reaches for his wallet in his pockets-...

Wait.

Maybe it's in the other pocket? No. Okay, maybe it's in his bag. Oh jeez, what's the point of picking something off the menu when you don't have money!?

Matsumura, noticing his distress because of course his panic is clear to everyone in sight. “I can pay for both of us. What do you want?”

“Oh- uh, uhhh…” Okuto’s eyes scan through the menu. There's a lot of sweet options… Well, he's not exactly on a diet or anything, so that doesn't matter. “I guess I'll have a parfait.”

Matsumura nodded, and then he called a waitress over. “What would you two like?”

“He'll have a parfait, I'll get a coffee jelly.” He says.

Okuto watched as the waitress wrote down their orders. “Noted. For drinks?”

Matsumura looks at him. Curse him. “I- I'll have a glass of cold water…” Okuto murmured, and he's surprised the waitress actually got that considering he quite literally whispered under his breath.

“I'll have a glass of water as well then.”

“I see… Would you like to read anything while you wait? We have a number of choices!” the woman gestures over to their mini library, its shelves filled with BL manga.

And damn. Okuto really wanted to see if they had “Loveable Lunches”, but he doesn't want Matsumura to know that he reads BL manga! As much of a creep and gay Matsumura acts, who knows what kind of hypocrite he'd be! And he… he doesn't want Matsumura to look at him like he's a nuisance as much as he already does.
