Tune in for a Smooch

Summary:

Charlie introduces the "Hazbin Kissing Booth" to spread redemption. Knowing the Radio Demon is bound to be dragged into the hotel's latest ridiculous stunt, Vox heads straight for the event with the Vees in disguise—and finds Alastor stuck behind a counter waiting for customers.

Work Text:

The front doors of the Hazbin Hotel swung open with a heavy, echoing groan, admitting a thoroughly bewildered sinner. He didn’t look like much—just another low-level demon sporting a pair of mismatched horns, a frayed trench coat, and the look of someone who had taken a wrong turn down a dark alley.

But the moment he stepped over the threshold, he didn't even get a chance to look around. Charlie Morningstar was already right there, all up in his face.

Her cheeks were flushed with pure, unadulterated excitement, her eyes wide and sparkling. She snatched his hand in a death-grip of sheer enthusiasm and began pumping his arm up and down so fast his vision blurred.

"Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel!" Charlie cheered, her voice hitting a pitch that vibrated through the floorboards.

"We are so incredibly thrilled to have you here! You have no idea! Oh, you picked the absolute perfect day to drop by. Seriously! You are in for such a treat, mister..." She paused for a fraction of a second, not even waiting for him to stammer out a name.

"Well, it doesn't matter! Because in exactly three days, the hotel is hosting a major event! A total milestone for redemption! You’re staying, right? Please tell me you're staying!"

Charlie continued to ramble on at a mile a minute, wild as she poured her heart out to the poor, captive sinner about the grand event coming up very soon. But as her eager voice faded into the background noise of the lobby, the atmosphere shifted.

Alastor walked in casually, having just returned from who knows where. His usual razor-sharp grin was firmly in place, but he stopped in his tracks, overhearing the princess’s enthusiastic pitch.

He quirked a single, sharp eyebrow. An event? This was news to him.

Before he could utter a word, a tiny, chaotic blur struck him from above. Niffty plummeted out of nowhere, landing squarely on top of his head with a soft thud. Completely unbothered by his personal space, she immediately began to tug and play with his ears, her single large eye wide and frantic as she squealed out the news.

“Kissing Booth, Kissing booth!”

An underlying screech of radio static flared in the air.

“I beg your pardon?” Alastor said. Despite the dangerously icy edge in his tone, his hands were remarkably gentle as he reached up, wrapped his fingers around Niffty's tiny frame, and lifted her safely off his head to hold her at arm's length.

Niffty dangled limply in Alastor’s grip, looking absolutely adorable and completely unfazed by being airborne. She beamed a wide, toothy smile right up at him as he brought her up to eye level, her tiny legs kicking back and forth.

“We’re gonna kiss a lot of boys!” she chirped happily.

Before Alastor could respond, Husk beat him to it. The winged cat demon was already slumping his way across the lobby, looking thoroughly exhausted before his shift had even begun. He carried a fresh crate of alcohol, heading on to start setting up the drinks for the day. He didn't even bother to stop walking as he threw a dry look over his shoulder at the Radio Demon.

“The princess planned an event to advertise the hotel…she calls it the Kissing Booth.”

Alastor’s smile stretched just a fraction wider. He carefully set Niffty back down on the floor, and the small girl immediately scurried away somewhere into the shadows, hunting for dust.

“Why ever would she do that?” Alastor mused aloud. “And such a strange spectacle too.”

Husk reached the bar, dropping the heavy crate onto the counter with a loud, wooden thud. He gave a heavy shrug, popping the cap off a bottle for himself. “Beats the fuck out of me.”

In the background, Charlie’s bright voice continued to echo through the expansive space as she kept talking to the sinner. The sheer volume of her excitement drew attention, and several other sinners who were hanging out in the large lobby all turned to listen in to her announcement.

Angel Dust strolled over to the bar, his hips swaying as he slid onto a stool. Husk didn't even need to ask; he was already handing over his favorite drink called “harder daddy.” Angel caught the glass, giving a theatrical sigh. “It was supposed to be a sex booth, but Charlie said it was 'inappropriate.'”

Vaggie was watching the whole thing with Charlie from the side, a hesitant smile on her face as she tried to support her girlfriend. But when she heard what Angel said, her posture stiffened. She whipped her head around and narrowed her eyes at him, crossing her arms tightly. “You did this. You suggested it to her.”

“Woah hey, it was a simple joke. I didn’t know she was gonna take it seriously.” Angel Dust held out three of his arms in defense, splaying his pink-gloved fingers wide, while his fourth arm carefully held his drink close to his chest.

Husk scoffed, a small smirk playing on his furry face as he looked at Angel Dust. “At least they compromised.”

“Yeah. Sex booth would’ve been a disaster.” Angel cringed, shivering slightly as he took a sip. His mind briefly flashed to the absolute nightmare of essentially doing his job outside of his own job as a pornstar. No thank you.

Alastor internally cringed at the thought of it all, his smile tightening slightly as his eyes flickered toward the overly enthusiastic princess. “Meant as a publicity stunt, I’m sure.” he murmured under his breath.

A dangerous thought suddenly crossed his mind. He thought about the media overlord’s reaction to this if it ever got out. Vox would undoubtedly see it, obsess over it, and probably try to match the exact same energy with some gaudy, high-tech stunt of his own. The mere concept was exhausting.

“Well, I won’t be participating,” Alastor said firmly. He turned and walked over next to Angel Dust, lightly tapping his cane against the ground to signal Husk to get him a drink.

Flash Forward three days later...

The wooden sign overhead read KISSING BOOTH in bright, sparkly pink letters. And standing right behind the counter of the ridiculous stand was Alastor. His signature smile was plastered wide across his face, but his eyes were narrowed into an unmistakable, deeply resentful frown.

How on earth did this happen?

To understand that, we’ll have to start two days earlier.

Two Days Earlier at the V Tower…

In the sleek, neon-lit upper levels of the V Tower, Velvette suddenly burst out laughing.

Her sharp, manicured fingers swiped aggressively across her touchscreen as her eyes frantically scanned her phone screen. “Get a load of this, Vee.” she cackled, throwing her legs over the arm of the lounge chair.

The TV-headed sinner looked up from his work. He was sitting at his grand executive desk, blue light reflecting off his screen as he paused mid-typing. “What?” Vox asked, his voice dripping with mild annoyance at the interruption.

“News about the dumb hotel. About an event,” Velvette snickered, her thumb scrolling rapidly on her phone.

Vox quirked a virtual eyebrow, his screen flickering for a brief second before he aggressively swiped away his current work. He switched his holographic displays over to the main social media feeds. His digital eyebrows rose high up on his screen as he suddenly stood up from his desk, leaning forward to get a closer look at the trending news.

“A Kissing Booth event?! That’s—that’s—”

“Stupid?” Velvette offered, looking up from her phone to toss him a mocking glance. She remained sitting comfortably.

“More like only virgins can come up with,” Valentino chimed in. He raised a clawed finger lazily into the air, not even bothering to look up from his own phone. He was lying flat on his back right next to Velvette, completely occupied with texting.

“It’s genius!” Vox slammed his fist down onto his desk, the force of the blow causing the holographic screens around him to ripple and distort with static.

The two other Vees stared at him like he had just grown two heads. Velvette and Valentino slowly looked at each other, shared a baffled glance, and then looked right back at Vox.

The media overlord stared right back at them, a heavy frown plastering his screen. “Don’t you see how many of these idiots are going? People crave these things. FUCK, it’s genius…”

Velvette looked down at her phone again. This time, her expression was much more focused, her thumbs pausing their scrolling. “They are trending all over the Pentagram.”

Vox bit his thumb, his gaze dropping to the floor as he fell into silent, rapid thought. The Vees had to do something greater. They had to top it. A sex booth? Nah, that wasn’t anything new around their part of Pride. What with Valentino’s entire empire, it wouldn't even turn a single head.

“We should go,” Valentino muttered, his voice dropping into a dangerous, low growl. “That whore Angel Dust will be there. No way that slut is doing anything without anyone paying.” He gripped his phone tightly, his claws tapping aggressively against the screen as he began texting the spider sinner.

“We can crash the party,” Velvette suggested, a sharp, wicked smirk pulling at her lips.

Vox blinked, caught off guard by the suggestion of actually going to the event. Would Alastor be there? No. He didn’t care one bit about that old-timey prick. His screen flickered at the mere thought of him. He found it entirely hard to believe that the Radio Demon would ever participate in such a ridiculous, modern spectacle.

But what if he did? What if Alastor actually showed up?

“We’re going,” Vox said, his voice dropping into an oddly determined, buzzing register. He looked over at his team, a spark of chaotic inspiration lighting up his digital eyes. “Velvette, we need disguises.”

Two days before the event, the Hazbin Hotel was in a state of absolute, colorful chaos.

Charlie was running around the lobby, busy excitedly barking orders on how to decorate the space. Her arms flailed as she described exactly where the streamers, the glitter, and the banners should go. Her grand plan was to have the heavy front doors wide open at all times when the big day finally arrived. She simply couldn't wait for it.

But her bright smile occasionally faltered into a frustrated frown as her father trailed behind her like a stubborn shadow throughout the day. Lucifer was absolutely not having it. From the second he found out, he had firmly forbidden the entire event.

“Nuh-uh, no way, no how! I’m not gonna let my baby kiss those dirty sinners. Daddy won’t allow it!” he had yelled the very first time he heard the news, throwing his hands in the air with dramatic despair.

“And why not, your majesty?” Alastor’s voice suddenly crackled in, cutting through the heavy tension. He leaned over, bending way down to Lucifer's eye level, his razor-sharp smirk widening into a thoroughly mocking expression.

“I think it’s a great idea.”

“Dad… it’s good for the hotel,” Charlie groaned, turning around to face him. She rolled her eyes, completely fed up already. “And I keep telling you, I won’t be kissing anyone! Me and Vaggie will just be hosting the event.”

Alastor let out a sharp, filtered laugh that echoed with radio distortion. “Oh, you should participate, your highness! It’s good for the people.”

Lucifer, who had been busy weeping dramatically over Charlie's shoulder, instantly snapped out of it. He whipped his head around to glare at the Radio Demon, his red cheeks flushing with pure fury as his eyes flashed ominously. “I don’t care for the people!” he hissed.

Angel Dust sauntered up right behind Alastor, a wicked, multi-armed grin spreading across his face as he decided to throw a little more fuel onto the fire. “If you don’t participate, Charlie will have to kiss some loathsome sinners,” Angel purred, leaning in to give the threat maximum impact.

Lucifer gasped loudly, his eyes widening in pure horror. He turned to watch Charlie as she bounced around the lobby, excitedly dragging a tired-looking Vaggie by the hand and gesturing wildly to explain all her grandiose decorating ideas. The mental image of a random Hell-born getting anywhere near his daughter was too much to bear.

“NOT ON MY WATCH! I’M JOINING!” Lucifer declared, his voice cracking with protective fury as he puffed out his chest.

Behind him, Alastor and Angel Dust shared a dark, highly amused laugh, thoroughly satisfied with how easily they had manipulated the King of Hell.

The Day of the Event...

We’re back to Alastor, sitting stiffly behind the pink, sparkly counter of one of the makeshift kissing stands. Just a few feet next to him sat Lucifer, who was heavily frowning as he aggressively adjusted his posture in a plush, fancy chair stolen from the hotel lounge.

Against all odds, the lobby was absolutely packed. Word of the event had spread like wildfire, and a massive line of eager, chaotic sinners and even hell-born demons had miraculously formed right through the front doors and out into the street.

Alastor growled under his breath, a low, menacing rumble of radio static vibrating in his throat. He truly could not believe this was happening to him. And the worst part? It was all HIS fault. He slowly turned his lethal glare toward the bored-looking King of Hell sitting just a few feet away.

Who was Lucifer calling a coward anyway? Alastor certainly wasn't the one constantly cowering and kissing the ground his daughter walked on every chance he got. Alastor, for one, was not a coward. And besides, he highly doubted anyone in this wretched room would even be brave enough to approach him or his booth.

Lucifer caught his eye from across the short distance, his bored expression melting away just enough to flash a small, deeply smug grin at the demon's obvious misery.

Alastor gritted his clenched teeth behind his smile, a heavy green flash sparking in his eyes as his left eyelid gave a sharp twitch.

“Welcome everyone!” The princess's voice boomed over the crowd, cutting through the heavy tension. The lobby erupted into loud cheering and applause. “Before we start, let me just point out a couple of rules!”

Vaggie stood directly in front of the lines of demons and sinners alike, with Niffty perched eagerly on her shoulder. The crowd of demons stood in desperate rows, each group facing their specific pick of the booths. Vaggie was holding a gigantic flag emblazoned with a very flashy, sparkly heart right in the center. She held the pole tightly, fully prepared to wave the massive thing the second the event was officially declared open.

Charlie went down her list of rules, her voice bright and clear, while the mass of demons impatiently shifted their weight, waiting for her to finally finish.

“Lighten up, Husker. It’s not so bad,” Angel Dust smiled from another stall right next to the cat demon. He wasn't paying attention to Charlie at all, completely focused on carefully applying a fresh, shiny layer of pink lipgloss.

Husk glared, his ears flattening against his head as he stared at the terrifying crowd of sinners lined up at his own stall. “Why the hell am I even here? Aren’t there enough of you guys to do this blasted thing?”

“Nope,” Angel emphasized, popping the word loudly with a sharp smack of his newly glossed lips.

Husk let out a miserable groan, burying his face in his hands.

“And let the Kissing Booth Event BEGIN!!!” Charlie shouted.

Vaggie unenthusiastically waved her giant flag once across the air, before immediately scrambling backward to get out of the way. Niffty held on to her shoulder for dear life as the ground beneath them literally rumbled under the sudden, stampeding footsteps of all the people rushing forward.

In only one minute, Angel Dust had already breezed through three sinners like a total professional. The third one, however, completely lost his mind and refused to leave the booth. He had to be forcibly dragged away by a tough-looking robot that Baxter had built for security.

Baxter was sitting this one out, tucked safely away in the corner. Niffty ran up to him at some point. They pressed the buttons on the remote control, laughing quietly to themselves as they watched the machine haul the screaming demon away.

Over at the next booth, Husk was too busy trying to desperately talk his way out of his situation. He was mid-sentence, trying to argue with the crowd, when one bold female sinner somehow managed to lean over the counter and get a swift kiss in anyway. She walked away right afterward, looking completely giddy and triumphant.

Husk barked angrily at her retreating back, but he didn't even get a chance to wipe his mouth before another sinner immediately stepped up to his stand. It was completely never-ending. He stared out at the massive crowd, sinking into his chair as he realized this day was going to be painfully long.

Charlie was dancing merrily to herself, spinning in a joyful little circle right in the middle of the lobby. “This is gonna bring in so many people to our hotel. This is a great idea!” she shrieked happily, holding a decorative plastic container filled to the brim with colorful name tickets.

Beside her, Vaggie was sitting at an arranged table and chair, her brow furrowed as she carefully listed all the names of the participants on her long clipboard. “Are you sure, babe? It’s a free event. If it doesn’t go exactly as planned, it would all be for nothing.”

“Trust me, Vaggie, we’re gonna succeed today!” Charlie cheered, her optimism completely untouchable.

“Your dad looks like he’s constipated,” the angel pointed out bluntly. She pointed the tip of her pen across the room toward Lucifer. The King of Hell was currently surrounded by multiple aggressive sinners all at once, looking thoroughly trapped and cornered behind his stand.

Charlie gasped, her protective instincts instantly kicking in. “I said one at a time!” she shouted, immediately running up to the unruly crowd of sinners to restore order.

Vaggie smiled warmly, shaking her head as she watched her girlfriend.

“Excuse me.”

Vaggie blinked as a low, mechanical-sounding voice suddenly vibrated right in front of her. She looked up, expecting more random people, except these ones really shouldn’t be there.

Standing before her table was quite clearly the media overlord himself. Vox was wearing thick, dark sunglasses and a neon dark blue jogging outfit that did absolutely nothing to hide his bright blue skin. Balanced precariously on top of his screen was a incredibly poor imitation of curly black hair, the fake wig barely holding onto his flat, square head as it threatened to slide off at any moment.

“I heard there was an event over in this area?” Vox asked, trying and failing to sound casual.

Vaggie deadpanned, staring at him blankly for a long, silent second.

“Ooohh, I like what you guys did with the place.” This time, the voice was definitely the moth demon’s. Valentino was dressed in full, extravagant drag, towering over the crowd as he took in all the pink decorations hanging around the massive lobby. He pushed a pair of oversized sunglasses down the bridge of his snout, squinting through the dense sea of bodies. “Now, where is that Angel Dust?”

“Vee, look!” Velvette hissed, cutting in.

She was dressed in what seemed to be a high-fashion spy outfit, complete with sexy fishnets, a dark trench coat, and her own pair of designer sunglasses. She reached out, grabbing Vox by the shoulder and aggressively turning him toward the far side of the room.

Vox turned his square head toward where Velvette was pointing, his digital eyes widening behind his shades.

There, sitting right behind a pink-and-white counter, was Alastor. The Radio Demon looked incredibly intimidating, his static humming ominously as a group of terrified sinners stood back just to take photos of him. The poor sinner standing at the very front of his line was visibly shaking, stuttering uncontrollably just trying to talk to him.

Vox stared, his screen flashing a faint error code in sheer disbelief. He really joined. The untouchable, old-fashioned Radio Demon was actually sitting in a kissing booth.

Vaggie stood up abruptly, her chair scraping against the floor as she crossed her arms tightly over her chest. “You guys are not welcome here.”

Velvette turned her attention to the angel, matching her stance with plenty of her own trademark attitude. “I thought everyone is welcome here? That it’s a 'safe haven' for all sinners alike?”

The two instantly started arguing, their voices overlapping as they traded sharp barbs back and forth.

“Ah-hah! There he is!” Valentino suddenly boomed, his eyes locking onto a specific spot in the big room. He spotted Angel Dust in the dense crowd, currently making out with a random person. “I knew it!”

Without another word, the massive moth demon started stomping off in that exact direction.

Vox, however, couldn’t be bothered by any of them. He was staring right at the Radio Demon, his digital gaze entirely locked in. To him, everything else in the chaotic lobby were silent.

Across the room, Alastor was having the absolute worst day of his afterlife. He could easily just kill this entire bunch of pathetic souls right here and now, but the relentless mocking he would get from the King of Hell would be completely unbearable. Lucifer would never let him live it down.

Speaking of him, Alastor could hear Lucifer screaming at the top of his lungs as three aggressive sinners made loud, obnoxious kissing noises at his wobbling booth. Charlie was already trying to desperately intervene and pull them away.

At least he had that hilarious spectacle going for him, Alastor thought to himself. Almost all the sinners had shied away from his own booth. His sharp, unblinking stare alone made a lot of them cower in fear and leave the line entirely.

But suddenly, a very tall demon stepped up and stood directly in front of him. The stranger was clearly Hell-born, most likely an incubus based on his appearance.

“I heard about you. I heard you’re dangerous,” the demon said, leaning slightly over the pink counter. The movement was almost dangerously close.

Alastor’s eyes glinted, a low hum of static vibrating around his microphone cane. He knew this kind. He had been forced to deal with plenty of them when he was alive—lustful, dangerous men who thought they could take whatever they wanted.

“And who might you be?” Alastor started.

“Now we’re talking, darling,” the demon replied, his handsome features lightening up instantly at the question.

Alastor internally promised himself that he was going to kill this man later and feast on his flesh, but for now, he kept his professional smile firmly plastered on his face.

“Get the fuck away from him, motherfucker! I’ll kill you!”

The Radio Demon’s smile paused mid-stretch. He instantly recognized that distinct, electronic voice. When he turned his head, he saw the TV-headed sinner himself. Vox looked absolutely livid, his screen flashing an angry, jagged red pattern as he desperately tried to force his way through the thick crowd, shoving people out of his path.

“What the—Vee?! Where are you going?! I thought we were gonna crash the party!” Vox could hear Velvette calling out to him over the roar of the crowd, but he didn’t care. All he could think about was murdering that piece of filth standing way too close to Alastor.

As Vox started shoving aggressively against the crowd, the tension in the room finally snapped. The packed sinners, already impatient, assumed someone was deliberately picking a fight. In an instant, a massive brawl broke out. Punches were thrown, bodies were shoved into tables, and a full-scale riot erupted right in the middle of the lobby.

Up at his booth, Alastor spotted Vox through the sea of fighting bodies. A sudden, wicked idea flashed in his mind. Without a shred of hesitation, he reached across the pink counter, grabbed the tall incubus firmly by the front of his shirt, and planted a swift, deliberate peck right on his lips.

Vox erupted. His digital eyes went wide, his screen flashing a blinding error code as a violent burst of electricity shot out of his head, short-circuiting a nearby lamp. Driven by pure, unhinged fury, Vox tore through the fighting sinners with terrifying strength, throwing people left and right as he scrambled to reach the stand.

Watching from the side, Velvette immediately whipped her phone out, a massive grin splitting her face. “Oh shit,” she muttered, hitting record.

Vox finally managed to claw his way directly to Alastor’s booth. Without a single second of hesitation, he reached out, violently grabbed the tall incubus, and ripped him away from Alastor. Vox slammed his hands around the demon's neck, aggressively strangling the Hell-born, who was suddenly fighting for his life against the crazed, glitching Overlord.

On the other side of the lobby Husk barked angrily at a sinner trying to climb over his own booth when he noticed the sudden explosion of violence across the room. “Charlie, there’s a fight!” he shouted, though his voice was barely audible beneath the deafening ruckus of shattering glass and screaming demons.

Husk blinked, his eyes darting across the chaotic crowd, only to freeze when he spotted Valentino. The massive moth demon, still in full drag, was currently pinned against a pillar, enthusiastically making out with two random people at the same time. Husk visibly cringed at the sight, thoroughly disgusted.

It was total, unadulterated chaos in the lobby. Over in the corner, Niffty could be seen jumping up and down, cheering everyone on with manic glee. Baxter stood right next to her with a wicked smirk plastered on his face, rapidly tapping the buttons on his remote control to send his security robot swinging into the massive brawl.

Lucifer, finally wriggling out of his own predicament, finally noticed the literal riot taking place right next to him. His crown slipped slightly as he threw his hands up in a panic. “Woah, hey, hey! Everyone calm down!”

But nobody was listening.

Alastor, completely safe behind his counter, was laughing maniacally. The glitched, overlapping sound of a full studio audience cackling echoed from his chest, his radio dial eyes spinning with pure, malicious glee as he watched his rival lose his mind.

“What?! Vox?!” Charlie yelled in utter shock.

She pushed her way from Lucifer’s crowded booth straight over to Alastor’s area, only to stop dead in her tracks. She was met with the horrifying sight of the media overlord violently smashing the poor incubus's head onto the ground over and over again.

“Stop! Don’t kill him!” Charlie shrieked, reaching out to desperately pull the glitching TV demon back.

“Motherfucker!” Vox roared, completely deaf to her pleas. He was so blindingly angry that wild, blue electricity and heavy static popped in the air around him, his terrible wig finally flying off his head entirely as he kept attacking the guy.

The riot showed no signs of slowing down. A bold sinner tried to force himself onto Angel Dust, but Husk didn't hesitate. With a feral growl, the cat demon threw a heavy punch, striking the guy squarely in the jaw and knocking him backward. Angel immediately reached out, grabbing Husk's vest and desperately trying to calm him down before he tore into anyone else. “Husker stop!”

By the entrance, Vaggie was face-palming so hard her skin stung, utterly exhausted by the sheer disaster the day had become.

Meanwhile, Velvette was having the time of her life. She kept her phone raised high, panning the camera back and forth to record every single second of the glorious, unhinged mayhem for her social media feeds.

Vox’s disguise was entirely gone now. His curly wig and dark sunglasses lay long forgotten on the dusty floor, crushed into pieces under the stomping boots of the rioting crowd.

Beneath his heavy hands, the tall incubus stopped moving. The demon was dead. Fresh, dark blood trickled out of his severely messed-up head, pooling on the floor. With a disgusted grunt, the media overlord casually tossed the lifeless body right into the thick of the crowd, where a few ravenous cannibal sinners immediately swarmed it, dragging it away into the shadows.

Charlie’s eyes widened in horror, and she started frantically yelling after the people, trying to restore some semblance of order before the hotel was completely leveled. “No don’t!”

But her voice didn’t reach Vox. His audio feed was tuned out entirely. Breathing heavily, his screen flickering with jagged lines of static, he slowly turned his dangerous gaze directly back to Alastor.

With fresh blood splattered all over his neon blue jogging outfit, Vox didn’t utter another word. He simply marched right over to Alastor’s counter, his angry face crackling with a terrifying, low-frequency hum.

“What? Nothing to say, old pal?” Alastor snickered, leaning his chin on his hand, completely amused by the spectacle.

Lucifer and the crowd of people still trapped in his line all stopped what they were doing and turned to look at what was about to happen.

Lucifer rolled his eyes hard. “Bambi, you’re literally the worst, you know that?”

Alastor opened his mouth, about to retort to the blonde king’s annoying comment. But before he could get a syllable out, the media Overlord reached into his pockets, pulled out a massive wad of cash, and violently slammed it down onto Alastor’s booth counter.

The wooden counter shook violently under the heavy force of his action.

A few confused sinners standing right behind Vox started muttering to one another. They all thought this was a free event; none of them could figure out why a powerful overlord was suddenly paying.

Alastor stared down at the pile of cash suspiciously, his smile faltering for just a fraction of a second. “And what exactly am I to do with all thi—”

He couldn’t finish.

Vox lunged across the counter and smashed their lips together. He ate at Alastor's mouth like he was absolutely starving, abandoning all logic and control.

Still standing by the entrance, Velvette literally dropped her phone in total shock. It didn’t even matter that she stopped recording, because dozens of other sinners in the lobby immediately whipped out their own devices and started filming the insane scene. Next to her, Vaggie’s jaw dropped.

The violent fistfight was still roaring on in the background, but for Alastor, the entire world went completely dead silent. He couldn’t think. He couldn’t process. His radio static cut out entirely as he felt Vox’s clawed hand wrap firmly around the back of his head, tilting his face up and aggressively shoving his tongue inside his mouth hungrily.

“Oh,” Lucifer started, his finger trembling in the air as he tried to point at them, utterly failing to find any words.

Before Alastor could even begin to process what was happening or take any action, Vox sharply pulled away with a distinct, wet pop.

Without saying a single word, the TV demon turned on his heel and marched back into the crowd. On his way over to Velvette, he reached out and aggressively grabbed a distracted Valentino by the back of his shirt, ripping him away from the sinners he had been entangled with. The moth demon immediately began to whine loudly over the sudden loss of lips on him.

Vox didn't care.

He then marched right up to Velvette and grabbed her tightly by the collar while she was still frozen in absolute shock. With a dark, buzzing energy rolling off his shoulders, the TV Overlord dragged both of his fellow Vees quietly out the front doors of the hotel. Behind them, Velvette’s expensive phone lay entirely forgotten on the blood-stained floor.

Back behind the counter, Alastor stood completely frozen. His eyes were wide, his ears pinned flat against his head, and his mind was a total, echoing blank. For the first time in decades, his radio feedback was completely dead.

“Alastor?” The King of Hell was suddenly standing right in front of him.

Lucifer had stepped over from his own neighboring booth, leaning over to poke a finger directly into Alastor's pale, stunned cheek. A slight laugh bubbled up in the king's throat. “Honestly, serves you right,” he snickered, thoroughly enjoying the Radio Demon's utter devastation as he kept poking his cheek over and over again.

Everything was easily drowned out by the absolute madness tearing the lobby apart. Fistfights were still breaking out, furniture was shattering, and cannibal sinners were fighting over scraps.

Right in the middle of the wreckage stood the princess of Hell. Tears welled up in her wide eyes as she took in the absolute disaster of her hard work.

“It was supposed to be a great day!” Charlie cried out into the void, her heartbroken voice echoing over the beautiful, unadulterated chaos around her.
