As Giles is in a Jewelers looking at the type of ring he wants for Buffy the kids are with their mother at home. Jonathan is the double of Giles and is eager to follow in the footsteps of his dad. Kingsley who has his mother's hair and his dad's eyes is more into sport and is looking to get on the college football team and Elizabeth (sometimes goes by Beth for short) is looking to study in Science particularly in Biology once she heads to college.
Giles is still a Librarian and Buffy works as a trainer for future slayers under the watchful eye of her long term boyfriend.
It was a lovely summers evening and the family are heading to a restraunt to have some family time with the boys back from college and Beth finishing up her school. Giles and Buffy holding hands as if they were two teenagers again go into the restaruant with the kids behind them. They are all seated together and enjoy laughter and fun.
As they have all ate Buffy speaks and raises a glass to the kids and says "to Jonathan, Kingsley and Elizabeth thank you for being great kids and for excelling in your grades." Glasses clink and then Giles looks at the kids and they nod. Giles stands up and speaks " It is great that we can come and celebrate as a family for how the kids have been brilliant in their academic studies, there is also something else I want to do." He looks at Buffy with loving eyes "Buffy my darling for 20 years, you have grown into a mature strong woman, we have been through life and death situations, we have been through the good and bad times together, we have three beautiful kids together and I could have not had a better mother for my kids." He bends down on one knee with a velvet box as unshed tears are in her eyes. "Buffy I am finally taking the plunge and asking Will You be my wife make the family complete."
Buffy smiling and looking at the kids and then Giles. "Rupert Giles I will happily become your loving wife and say yes I will marry you." Giles takes the ring and puts it on Buffy's left finger. It has 4 diamonds, 3 small ones to represent each of their kids and the main diamond to symbolise the love between her and Giles. They then embrace and kiss sensually and passionate.
Just as fall arrives Buffy and Giles have a simple wedding with their kids, Williow and Anya as her bridesmaids and Xander as Best man and Spike as Groomsman. The kids have a small part each in the wedding. The venue is outdoor among the fall leaves and decorared with outdoor lights, flowers and an Archway to the altar. As protocol two members of the watchers council have to be there as Giles is still a member. Dawn and Tara check everything to make sure everything is set with the decor of the wedding.
Elizabeth is beautifully dressed in a red dress that has a halterneck style to it and a lovely necklace that has her birthstone on it. Her hair is down but curled beautifully to style. She has her mother's looks but her dad's hair colour. She is with Willow and Anya getting Buffy ready for the wedding. The bridesmaids are wearing one shoulder dresses in a deep orange and both their hairs in an upstyle bun. Buffy is elegant in a dress that is off the shoulder and Ivory in colour with a bit of a plunging neckline which shows some of the curves of her bosom. Her hair is styled like Beth's. As Giles awaits at the altar along with Xander and Spike, Jonathan and Kingsley have something planned for their parents wedding. Giles is dressed in a dark green tweed suit with a waistcoat and black tie.
As the music plays out first comes Willow and she looks at Tara and smiles. Next is Anya who looks at her Husband Xander. Then comes Beth with her mother in an unusual tradition of taking her down the Aisle. As Buffy gets beside Giles he is smitten by what he sees Buffy in and gives his daughter a hug and says thank you. As they go towards the celebrant they smile at each other. Giles no longer wearing glasses his Green eyes gleaming.
The celebrant starts. Ladies and Gentlemen, today we are gathered here to join together Buffy Summers and Rupert Giles in matrimony. The wedding will be conducted in three parts, the vows, the binding and then exchange of the rings. As the first part is about to happen the celebrant states that Buffy and Ruperts three kids will say something. Jonathan goes first and speaks "Mom and Dad, today me and my siblings are delighted to be part of this wonderful day, you have always been great parents to us and yous always made sure that we were cared for, loved and treated equally. Today it is about you both and we want yous to make sure yous have a wonderful day and enjoy yourselves." Then Kingsley steps up " today its an honour along with my brother and sister to be here for our parents wedding. Over the years as we grew up their love for each other has never ever dwindled and finally it is about time that yous tied the knot." The crowd laughs as Kingsley continues. You's have looked after us over the years so today its all about you mom and dad please enjoy yourselves and let the hair down as they say." Elizabeth steps up and speaks "To my dear loving parents today is the day where the family proper becomes as one as mom takes your surname. My two brothers and I could not be more happier to see yous being very happily in love and keeping the strong love bond over the years. We as your children have wonderful parents and wouldn't ask for any better, today it is your day and please relax enjoy and not to worry about us."
As the three kids leave the altar Buffy and Giles are filled with emotion from their kids speaking. The celebrant now speaks "Thank you Jonathan, Kingsley and Elizabeth for them lovely words. Now we will have the first part the vows.'
"Rupert Edmund Giles, do you take Buffy Anne Summers to be your lawful wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health so as long as you both shall live." Rupert with a big smile says "I Do". "Buffy Anne Summers, do you take Rupert Edmund Giles to be your lawful wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health so as long as you both shall live." Smiling at Giles she says "I Do."
The Bride and Groom have both written their own words for their vows. "To the love of my life, the mother of my kids. I have loved you for a very long time. Your the only one I want to spend the rest of my life with and today I will be honoured to call you Mrs Buffy Giles. I love you so much." Buffy smiles and looks Giles squeezing his hands. "To my darling, to the man I first set eyes on 20 years ago. I have also loved you for a long time and I know it has taken us this long to get married but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love you so much and always will I will be honoured to be called Mrs Buffy Giles."
Now the second part which is the binding of the hands. This is to signify the bond between these two will be sacred, strong and protects from the evils of the world. Buffy hands Willow her boquet as her right hand along with Giles right hand are intwined together. The hands are wrapped in a special silk ribbon. Celebrant reads. "Today we bind this couple together as one as they show their deep love, devotion and commitment to each other through the good times and the bad in whatever journey happens in their marriage and may they be blessed and protected from the evils of the world." The silk ribbon binding their hands is removed. Now to the exchange of the rings. Xander puts the rings to the celebrants book. Giles takes Buffy's ring and slides it onto her finger and then Buffy takes Giles' ring and slides it on his finger. The couple hold their hands tight to each other as the wedding concludes.
"Now that Buffy and Giles have exchanged vows, binded their love for each other and exchanged rings I am very happy by the power invested in me that I declare them to be Husband and Wife. You may kiss the bride." With smiles on their facess Giles has his arms around her waist and she draws her arms up to his neck as they have a slow, lingering and romantic kiss for the first time as Husband and wife. The crowd cheers and clap and their kids look on in happiness and proudness of their parents.
The wedding reception went off without any hitches. The photographer takes photos of the wedding party. Few of them the newlyweds can't seem to keep their lips off each other as the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen look on. Then a beautfiul family photo is taken of the couple. Jonathan, Kingsley and Elizabeth with their parents as Buffy and Giles hold on to each other and then another photo of the family together as the love birds kiss as the kids laugh happily looking on.
Their first dance as Husband and wife is to Unchained Melody and the couple serenade each other with kisses and sweet nothings being whispered in each others ears. The rest of the night was enjoyed by the wedding party as the watchers council representives left just after the wedding. Cake was cut laughs and drinks shared and a Buffet food that went down well there was nothing left.
After their first night as Husband and Wife the couple wake up in each others arms. Warm bodies wrapped together and basking in the glow of love making from the night before. The kids knock the door as the couple put on robes and Buffy says "come in." As the kids come in they have trays for their parents for breakfast. "We wanted to make sure yous have a nice breakfast in bed before yous go off on Honeymoon." Kingsley speaks. After shower is taken the couple dress up in lovely outfits before they head off for Honeymoon in England. Giles in a pinstripe suit with a white shirt opened at the collar and Buffy with her hair up in a black dress with gold design on it. They embrace each other tightly with their foreheads together Buffy with her arms over her neck and the left hand showing the New gold wedding band and Giles has his hands on her waist with the Gold wedding band sparkling from his left hand. They share a passionate kiss as he breathlessly says " I love you so much Mrs Buffy Giles." Another kiss after Buffy smiles "I love you Mr Rupert Giles."
As the car is waiting outside the house for the newlyweds to go the airport Willow, Tara, Xander, Anya, Spike and the kids wait for the couple to come out the door of the house. Suitcases are in the trunk of the car put in by the kids. As the front door opens cheers are heard and confetti is thrown as the couple come out arm in arm with smiles on their faces. They go and hug each of their friends and kids before going to the car. He opens the passengers door to let Buffy in first and then he goes round and gets in the drivers side of their convertible car which currently has the roof down. The Kids come down to their parents. "Don't worry we will make sure the house is kept clean as your away and Willow, Dawn and the rest of the friends have said they will come over to check on us from time to time." Says Elizabeth. "Now kids no house parties now." Says Buffy. Jonathan quips in "That is ok long as we don't hear stories of your love making sessions on Honeymoon." They both flush in the face and then laugh. "Right Mrs Giles we must get going and before they do he reaches over and plants a smacker on his wife's lips as the kids and their friends cheer on. "Bye folks and please don't have the place a wreck when we get back" quotes Giles. As they drive back of the car has a banner with Just Married on it and a few cans also attached.
The Happy couple drive off in the fall Sunshine.
