It's been a year since Henry Creel was sent to Dimension X in 1979. Mike, Ted, and Karen were all busy with the new born Holly Wheeler. Nancy helped a lot but ever since Holly was born, Nancy has felt a decline in love from her mother. Her father never really showed that he cared for her.
Steven ‘Steve’ Harrington was finishing his middle school year with a bang. Being the Most Famous person of Hawkins Middle. He has plans for conquering the Hawkins High School as well.
Barbara and Nancy have hung out a lot more since Holly was born as well. Barbara Holland is the nerdiest girl alive, besides Nancy at this point.
Robin Buckley is in the same grade as Steven Harrington. She is often considered a loner but the reality is she’s just trying to find herself.
Patty Newby, just came back to Hawkins in hopes to find Henry Creel, to make sure he’s okay, after all. She did care for him. She held her necklace which around her neck was the Mastodan Power Coin. “I hope you’re safe Henry…” She spoke, worrisome holding tightly to the power coin to which it glowed.
Meanwhile Ivan Ooze was ready to strike, to destroy Hawkins and find the ZEO Crystals. “Master Ooze, your army is ready!”
On this particular day Nancy and Barbara were riding their bikes, passing the Hawkins Middle School, heading to the Wheeler Household after having just left the community pool. Robin watched as Nancy rode by. She went back to sketching.
A car drove by, causing Nancy to fall off her back. “Watch where you're going Jackass!” Nancy shouts, before Barbara helps her get off the ground. She dusted herself off and gave Barbara a smile.
Nancy got back onto the bike and rode off.
“Strength…Determination…”
“Passion…”
“Artistic…probably good in fights…”
A deep voice spoke. Deep within the forest of Hawkins, underneath the surface. Is a command center. Alpha 5 activates. “Aye aye aye! Zordon, Ivor Ooze has escaped his prison! We must recruit the rangers!”
“We can’t Alpha, most of the old rangers have long since passed. We must recruit a new team of rangers… I have just the ones…”
“Aye aye aye, you don’t mean!”
“Teleport, Nancy Wheeler, Barbara Holland, Robin Buckley, Steve Harrington, Patty Newby,”
“I thought you said the old rangers have passed?!”
“I said most of them are Alpha, now teleport them.”
“On it Zordon!”
Suddenly, an urge of energy teleported the 5 out of their place.
Patty from Henry’s old house, Nancy from the garage of the Wheeler house, Barbara from Nancy’s garage. Steve from his room and Robin from her house.
They all fell onto the ground. “Ow, where are we…” Nancy spoke, rubbing her butt.
“Zordon… What’s wrong?” Patty spoke, the only one who knew where she was. “Patty, meet your new teammates.”
Patty turned to see a group of Middle schoolers. “Zordon, these are kids…”
“And I have been watching them since Ivor Ooze has slowly started to awaken.”
“Ivan Ooze?” Nancy interrupted with a fear filled tone. The power coins, once made by Ninjor that were lost but founded by Alpha 5, floated down to the children. Each choosing the rangers on their own.
Nancy was chosen by the Tyrannosaurus Power Coin.
Steve was chosen by the Triceratops Power Coin.
Robin was chosen by the Saber Tooth Tiger Power Coin.
Barbara was chosen by the Pterodactyl Power Coin.
“Let these powers guide you to defeat Ivan Ooze…Please view the viewing globe.” Patty was the first to turn. The children followed. Ivan’s minions, the Oozemen attacking Hawkins. “We can’t handle this, let the police deal with it…” Steve spoke, pointing to the globe.
“I’m on it Zordon, we can’t risk children…”
“MASTODON” Patty shouts and teleports out. “These creatures will ruin everything…” Barbara said, speaking truth to Steve, having heard of Steve Harrington because of his popularity. “The chick is right, we need to go to make sure our city is safe.” Robin spoke, causing Barbara to give a subtle blush.
“I’m in… My family needs to be safe…and if Ivan Ooze wants to ruin that… I’ll fight for them…”
The power coins glowed and soon appeared the Power Morphers. “Let’s do it!”
“PTERODACTYL”
“SABER TOOTH TIGER”
“TYRANNOSAURS!”
They grew to adult size and were suited up in their corresponding color.
Barbara Pink, Robin Yellow, Nancy Red. Steve rolled his eyes. “Fine, but this better not ruin my hair!”
“TRICERATOPS!”
Steve was the Blue ranger. Alpha-5 Teleported them to Hawkins. Where they begin fighting off the Oozemen.
Patty and Nancy get cornered. “Nice for you to join us, I hope Zordon knows what he’s doing!” Patty said. “So do I!” Nancy spoke. She raised her hand. “Power Sword!” She said, following the instructions on her visor. Suddenly a red glow appeared and the Power sword appeared. Slicing the Oozemen in half. “Power Axe!” Patty said and began helping Nancy.
“Power Daggers!”
“Power Bow!”
“Power Lance!”
The Rangers summoned their signature weapons and began fighting. Slicing, Shooting, striking, and the occasional kick.
“Who are you!?” Ivan Ooze appeared in an ooze-like state before appearing fully in his true form. Ivan shot Ooze at the rangers, Mike ran into the line of fire and took the attack, being encased with Ooze. Nancy’s eyes flared with rage, as she grabbed the power sword and ran at Ivan Ooze.
“Zordon did you–”
“Yes Alpha, I did, That boy has the heart of a Ranger…”
Nancy tried slicing and dicing Ivan but his body went into an ooze-like state being invulnerable to her attacks. Men from Hawkins Lab appeared pointing guns at Ivan. “Aw more fun!”
Martin Brenner stepped out, with the dragon Power coin tied into a necklace. Patty saw this. Her breath stuttered, she thought the worse… of Henry.
Martin pulled the Dragon power coin off the necklace and was about to insert it into a makeshift Morpher. Ivan shot lightning at Martin, causing him to be flung into a car, dropping the Dragon coin, the coin rolled all the way to Jonathan Byer’s foot. He picked it up and suddenly a green wave of energy shot through his veins. Suddenly the Power morpher appeared. His eyes glowed green, as visions of the past Dragon rangers flashed through his eyes. He returned to normal. He helped Will and his friends get to safety. “No Jonathan! We need to save Mike!” Will screams reaching out for Mike.
After getting Them to the electronics store, where Joyce worked. Jonathan snuck out the back.
The power morpher appeared in his hands. He was ready. “Let’s do it…” Jonathan whispered.
“DRAGONZORD!”
Ivan laughed as the Hawkins guards were down and trapped by ooze. Suddenly Green lightning struck Ivan from the back. A similar melody to Patty played from behind Ivan. The Green Dragon Ranger was walking. “Henry…” Patty mumbled.
“No Patty, Henry Creel’s bio signature has been gone for a year, that is Jonathan Byers. The new Green Ranger!” Jonathan walked up slicing Ivan causing him to bleed purple as Jonathan jumped over and landed next to the other rangers.
Patty made a fist. “Okay guys let’s combine our weapons!”
“Right!” The rangers said as one by one, they tossed their weapons in the air to form the Power Blaster. Jonathan went over and began slicing Ivan, however he went into his ooze state, making him invulnerable to his attacks.Jonathan played the Dragon Dagger.
It beamed with energy as he stabbed it into Ivan, sending the energy coursing through his body, causing Ivan to return to normal and Jonathan pulled the dagger out. “DO IT NOW!” He shouts.
“FIRE!” They sent a fire ball blast at Ivan causing him to explode.
“Alright!” Nancy chimed.
Patty seemed on edge, as if expecting Ivan to return, but he didn’t.
The other rangers were celebrating, especially after the Ooze freed Mike. Nancy walked up. “You okay?”
“Yeah…why do you sound familiar…”
“I have that voice…” Nancy explained, before reuniting with the rangers and they all teleported to the Command center.
“Thank you, if you wish to continue to be rangers, you can keep your power coin, if not leave them on the table.” Steve was the first to hand over the power coin, then Robin. Barbara looked at Nancy, Nancy looked back before they both put their coins on the table. Patty kept her power coin. They waved goodbye as Alpha 5 teleported them away.
Jonathan was the only one who kept him besides Patty. He teleported out to reunite with his family.
“Alpha 5, keep an eye on Michael Wheeler…”
“Aye aye aye…”
“Why are we recruiting kids?” ask Patty.
“Because they have the most potential like you did.”
“What happened to Henry?” Asked Patty.
“I can answer that,” Alpha 5 spoke, turning to Patty. “He was captured or willingly recruited by Hawkins Lab,” Alpha 5 spoke. “Then he used the Power of the Dragon to try and escape but failed due to a Sonic Damper.” He added walking over to the viewing globe with Patty. “A kid with similar powers was able to take the damper out but due to that, she had to fight Henry and suddenly he vanished in a portal.” Alpha 5 finished as the Viewing globe showed the entire thing.
“Henry…”
“He was corrupted by the Shadow. Broken, and devastated, he fell into madness, which led him down the path he took…” Zordon said.
“I’ll make sure no one falls into darkness…” Patty spoke. “I’m staying in Hawkins, but I’ll need a place to stay…” She added.
“We have a guest room here in the command center.” The lights turned on showing the guest room. “Thank you Zordon…”
— 3 YEARS LATER… —
Nancy, Barbara, Steve, Robin, Jonathan all are in High School now. It was a school night, no one thought anything of it.
Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will all played DnD. “Mike! It’s time for your friends to go home!” Karen shouts. “Ten more Minutes!” Mike shouts up in a pleading sound. “No! It’s a school night, time for your friends to go home!”
Mike ran up as the party searched for the D-20 Will just rolled as well as starting to pack up. “Does a 7 count?” Will asked. “Did Mike see it?” Lucas asked, Will shaking his head. “Then it doesn’t count,” Will placed the die down and grabbed his coat, ready to leave as left the basement. “Hey, does anyone want the leftover pizza?” Dustin asked. “No.” Lucas said and left. Will shook his head, and left.
Dustin was the last up the steps and walked to Nancy room, opening the slightly cracked door. Nancy was on the phone with Barbara. “Hey, Nancy,” Nancy stopped looking over. “We got a slice left if you want it, sausage and pepperoni.”
“Hold on…”
Nancy walked up and slammed the door in his face.
Dustin rolled his eyes.
Moments later he walked out. “Your sister is a massive butthead.”
“Huh? She’s always been?”
“No not always, she was cool, remember when she dressed up for our DnD Game?”
“Anyway see ya!” Dustin and Lucas left. Will rolled up beside Mike. “It was a seven.”
“Huh?”
“The Fireball? It was seven,” Will replied before leaving.
Will caught up with Dustin. “I’ll race ya for one of your comics?”
“Which one?”
“X-Man #134!”
“You’re on!”
Dustin and Will raced, soon Will left Dustin in the dust, passing his house first. “Come on! Dick…”
Will went onto Mirkwood and soon, the Demogorgon appeared roaring at him, causing him to fall over and crash onto the grass. Will ran through the woods, with the Demogorgon chasing him. That night, Will Byers went missing…
“Aye aye aye, It seems like the Creatures from the Portal are causing havoc, we need new rangers!” Alpha 5 spoke. “Alpha, it's time.”
“Right Zordon!”
They begin working on the teleportation of Mike Wheeler…
