Summary
I’ve always felt like most of us really only liked Arcadia because Mulder and Scully got to play ‘house’, but I think there’s a great story in there. So here’s my take. Think of it as a canon-adjacent retelling. I’ve pulled in a little from an early version of the script, particularly the characterisation of the Shroeders, but I wanted to dig into the idea of the HOA being a cult and give Mulder and Scully something to really investigate.
It’s a bit of a case fic but with lots of domestic MSR moments because I was a shipper long before I was a storyteller.
This is a work in progress, but I plan to upload new chapters every few days.
