Work Text:
Mark went home after a long day of work in the studio. He was proud of himself for the work he put in today, and he was sure the fans were gonna love what he put out.
“Honey I'm home!” He called.
It was a cheesy phrase he always said when he got back to his apartment, as if he was one of those husbands from old black and white sitcoms that came home to greet their housewives.
But Mark instead had a boyfriend, Donghyuck. Kind of like a boyfriend. They still hadn't defined it yet. It was the beginning stages of something good.
“Hey, you're here,” Donghyuck said.
Donghyuck was usually busy with his own things too. And now there was a lot that was different considering they didn't have any of the same schedules anymore. After so many years of being attached at the hip, being apart felt like being without half a lung.
Mark went to kiss him, but unexpectedly, Donghyuck dodged his kiss.
“What the?” Mark laughed. “Come here, give me a kiss.”
“Not before you explain this,” Donghyuck said.
Donghyuck was holding up his phone and there was a news article about a shirt Mark had worn a few days ago. The article included a picture of him wearing a confederate flag shirt.
“Oh, that. It's nothing. They're making a big deal out of it. You know how the news is. Over exaggerated for clicks,” Mark rolled his eyes. “Now, come here and kiss me already. I missed you today.”
“I don't know,” Donghyuck said. He stood rigid as Mark wrapped his arms around him. “Are you sure it's nothing? They said it's a big deal related to slavery of black people in America. I mean, that definitely doesn't seem like nothing, hyung.”
Dammit, Mark thought. Not the dreaded hyung.
Ever since they started dating, Donghyuck only really used the word “hyung” in public settings or when he was upset. This was not what Mark expected to come home to today.
“You know how they are. Sometimes people get overly sensitive about history stuff,” Mark explained. “But symbols have different meanings. It's basically vintage fashion. Nobody cares these days unless you're really one of those liberal human rights types of people.”
Donghyuck bit at his lip, narrowing his eyes. He didn't seem fully convinced. Mark sighed. No way was he really about to lose out on being with his boyfriend and getting his dick wet just because some overly woke people were offended about a shirt.
“If it makes you feel better, I've already gotten rid of the shirt,” Mark said.
“Really?” Donghyuck asked, eyes still narrowed.
“Promise,” Mark raised his hands to show his honesty. He really did get rid of the shirt. It wasn't like he cared that much about it. He didn't think it was worth all the fuss. “It's never gonna be seen on me again.”
Finally, Donghyuck seemed to relax. “Fine,” he said.
“So can we kiss?”
Donghyuck rolled his eyes and laughed. “Yeah, we can kiss.”
They did more than kissing of course. They got in the shower together and Donghyuck gave Mark a blow job without any fuss. It had been a while since they'd done it, considering how much they'd both been working recently. Mark was in the middle of preparing for his official solo debut and Donghyuck was preparing for a unit comeback with 127. And apparently there was some preparations going on for a new NCT U album. All stuff of Mark's past that made him feel a little sad to think about not being a part of it anymore, but also immensely grateful that part of his life was over.
He came pretty quickly from Donghyuck's blwjob and Donghyuck playfully made fun of him for it.
“Whatever, I just can't help it that you have a great mouth,” Mark laughed.
He pulled Donghyuck up from the floor and they finished showering. He fingered Donghyuck's ass and kissed him as the water ran over their naked bodies. He could feel Donghyuck's cock pressed against his hip. Donghyuck moaned into Mark's mouth as they kissed and rocked himself against Mark's leg. The water was nice and relaxing and so was the sound of Donghyuck's moans.
“I want you to fuck me now, please,” Donghyuck said.
They rinsed the rest of the soap and they went to the bedroom. It didn't take much to get Donghyuck thoroughly aroused . He was moaning so easily just from Mark's fingers in his ass alone. His cock was twitching and leaking with barely any contact. Mark took it into his mouth, and enjoyed the sounds that Donghyuck had to give him.
“It feels good,” Donghyuck cried. His hands tangled in Mark's hair. “Ahh, more. Please. In my ass please.”
Mark released Donghyuck's cock with a loud, wet pop. Spit and pre come dribbled down Mark's chin. He wiped it without much tact and sat up to move between Donghyuck's thighs. He lined his cock up with Donghyuck's hole and wasted no time pressing in.
“Ahh!” Donghyuck gasped and clutched onto Mark.
Mark eased into fucking him, relishing in the feeling of how tight and hot Donghyuck's ass was. Donghyuck cried out with each thrust, his cock bobbing over his stomach and dribbling pre come. When Donghyuck reached for it, Mark pushed his hand away.
“I want you to come, untouched,” Mark said.
Donghyuck panted deliriously. His eyes were hazy and his cheeks were flushed a deep red. He looked really pretty and it made Mark's stomach flip, threatening to cause him to come again before even getting Donghyuck to finish.
“Mark,” Donghyuck muttered, softly. “Mark, feels so good.”
Mark got Donghyuck to flip over and he started fucking him from behind. Donghyuck's cock hung between his thighs. His balls swung heavily with each press of Mark's hips. Wet dribbled down between them, a sticky mix of lube and come slicking up the insides of Donghyuck's thighs and becoming a puddle on the bed.
“Oh, right there,” Donghyuck gasped suddenly as Mark found a new perfect angle. He slammed his hips harder as Donghyuck cried and went rigid, gasping and gripping tightly to the bed headboard. “Ahh..”
Mark felt Donghyuck's hole tighten and Mark's balls tightened in response. The both of them were coming, and it was so overwhelming that it was hard to tell who had come first.
“Mark–”
“God–” Mark choked, hunching over and losing his breath as he emptied himself of inside Donghyuck's ass.
They both fell into the mattress and panted to catch their breath. They were sticky and hot. Mark felt Donghyuck's ass hole fluttering around his softening cock. After a while, Mark pulled out and watched the come spill from Donghyuck's ass.
He moved down and went into licking up the mess from Donghyuck's hole. Donghyuck whimpered from the overstimulation and eventually had to push Mark away.
“Okay, enough. I can't take it,” Donghyuck laughed breathlessly.
“But I love how your ass tastes when I ruin it,” Mark said.
Donghyuck rolled over and pinched Mark's ear. “Hey, my ass is not ruined!”
They cleaned up, ate dinner, gave each other hand jobs once again, before finally they were ready for bed.
Mark scrolled on his phone and more articles were popping up with the same story about him wearing that confederate shirt. He swiped out all the notifications related to that. He really didn't care. And his manager would handle all the backlash for that. He'd been in hot water before and nothing came out of it.
At the end of the day, kpop fans are loyal to whoever they like. Hell, Mark figured he could even murder someone and he'd still have plenty of fans who would be willing to ignore it or even go so far as to defend it. The fact of the matter is that most kpop fans are too parasocial to let go of the idols they love. And even the international kpop fans who liked to pretend they were woke usually did so just to appear morally correct to their friends online. But behind closed doors, they still usually support their favorite idols. They still streamed their music, watched their music videos, liked the fanart, and read all the fanfictions related to their favorite idols because they were hypocrites.
And Mark survived on their hypocrisy. Their hypocrisy put money in his wallet and for that reason alone, he felt no need to care much about a confederate flag controversy or a McDonald's controversy, or even some dumb controversy about him being religious. None of it mattered. He still had fans, and he even had fans amongst the people who pretended they were not his fans.
Suddenly, he got a text informing him the PR manager had drafted up a statement to release to the public and that he should check his email to see how he felt about it.
Mark didn't take longer than a minute or so to read over it. It was a general apology without really admitting to the full nature of the scandal. The kind of surface level stuff that fans who would support him regardless would gladly eat up and accept in order to erase a guilty conscience.
He gave the go-ahead to his manager to post it. It didn't matter. This drama will all be over soon enough, he figured. And if anyone wanted to drag it out, he'd just use the tactic that always worked: praise the fans who publicly stay by his side as the real fans. Make them double their loyalty by making them believe they were part of a strong, special class. The ones who stick by Mark's side through thick and thin.
But even that wasn't so important, because in the long run people would eventually move on from the whole confederate flag scandal. There has never been an idol that has actually been successfully canceled for a scandal like this. They get some flack for a while, but all idols no matter what they've done, unless it's publicly dating, eventually are forgiven.
All it takes is just enough time.
Mark looked over at Donghyuck who was asleep now. His face was pretty and relaxed. Mark was sure Donghyuck wouldn't care about the whole confederate flag thing by tomorrow either, especially when the apology statement is released. It's not like Black American slavery even affected him. At most, he might feel a little sad but he'll move on. And he won't pull his public support of Mark away either, no matter how hard anyone would try to cancel him for it.
Mark cut off the bedroom light and went to bed. He didn't have any trouble falling asleep. Even if a black fan was distressed and crying on the other side of the planet right now, they'd eventually forgive him or move on, right?
So who cared?
