Chapter Text
It was just a normal day of pokemon battles, work and duties. After his battle with his lifelong rival, they agreed to meet up afterwards. The original plan being to meet outside Wyndon stadium, but the taler one was nowhere to be found. There was no way he could have gotten lost right? The meetup place was literally right outside of the stadium they just competed in, besides, if anyone were to be lost like that it would’ve been Leon, who was standing outside waiting for his rival/partner. They have been dating for months now, yet the public didn’t know this. They agreed on keeping their relationship secret, to avoid all the homophobic and hate comments they would get. Even though Leon never posted much or checked social media much, interviews would’ve been hell.
Atp hes waited for an hour now, still no sight of his lover. He decided to head back into his locker room to wait since he was getting tired of standing in the same spot and being stared at by others. He was about to text Raihan that he’s gonna wait inside till he saw a message from him saying that he cant come. Disappointed, he decided to check his fyp on pokegram since he hasn’t checked in a good while and wanted to see what he ‘missed out’ on.
“oh...”
First thing that appears, on Raihan’s account, a picture of him in what seems to be a party or a club.
Anxiety starts building up as he thinks about what he would do if his partner cheats on him. Well yea Leon has had a crush on him for years now, but it wasn’t guaranteed the same with Raihan, even if he was the one to make the first move. “it’s fine, im just being paranoid. The massage was sent an hour ago. It’s my fault for not checking..” he tried reassuring himself. Surely the guy he’s been dating for a while wouldn’t do that… right?
He started making way back outside when he saw a wall with something different from the rest. The wall had streaks of blue paint that seems to be outlining a part of the wall, an outline that seems to be able to outline a door perfectly. That was never there. With curiosity and survival instincts of a snail, he approached the blue outline.
He reached his hand and ran it along one of the streaks of blue. A small hint of blue was stained on his finger. He reached out again, attempting to touch the wall, not noticing he was sort of leaning towards it, as he was still sorta paralysed from the random outline…
*insert crash sounds*
He found himself on the floor covered with a yellowish carpet. The walls covered in a weird design. He turned back to realise this legs were phased inside the wall. In an act of shock and fear he pulled his leg back, his entire body inside the room covered in yellow. “did…did I just faze into the wall!?”
As he tried phasing back out to the stadium hall, he felt a solid wall… “…” was he trapped inside this mysterious room? “no..no this… this isn’t real… right?” he tried phasing out again… now fully afraid and scared.. “i.. I cant be trapped here right? This has to some sort of a bad nightmare..” remembering he felt pain when crashing onto the floor.
Now, full of desperation, his hands running through the now solid wall, trying to look for a way to get out, a bead of sweat coming down from his face. He even tried using his phone to call someone or to use his pokemon to break the wall or something, only to find out they weren’t with him. He knows he brought them with him, in fact he was holding his phone while inspecting the wall, guess they couldn’t faze in with him.
Finding no way out, he sat down on the carpet, his hands wrapped around his legs and head tucked in his hands. He was actually stuck inside.
The entire place felt like a maze, and Leon assumed it was. As much of an oblivious person he was, he knew about the right-hand rule and thought it would’ve been the best way to get out of here. He wanted to stay right where he was, who would care if the champion goes missing, chairman Rose will just find a new champion in no time, no one would actually care if he went missing, right? (he clearly isn’t fine after his own boyfriend ditched him for some party.. I SWEAR THIS WILL HAVE A HAPPY ENDING- )
Even after all those thoughts, even after all the su1c1D@L thoughts he’s had in his life, he thought about Sonia, Victor, Gloria and Hop, they would be devastated to hear he went missing, wasn’t sure about his own mom, “boyfriend” or his boss thought.. and started to progress the maze.
As he was going through the maze. As he was walking through, he heard footsteps. A living human or creature was right around the corner he was going to turn to. Preparing for the worst, he took a small peak.
“WHAT ON EARTH IS THAT?” he thought, obviously he didn’t shout it out.
A…thing…was stalking the hallway. It waws a thin entity, it’s entire body was black, it wasn’t human at al… Leon couldn’t make out what it was, but was sure he shouldn’t approach it.
he started crouching and staying quite, hoping it wont hear or see him, avoiding it’s line-of-sight, and realising its blind. Everything went surprisingly smooth (chase scenes will happen later :3)
while roaming the hallways after escaping Bacteria, he found what looks like a step on a ladder, he picked it up and kept it in case he would need it. Lo and behold, a broken ladder was leaning towards a vent near the ceiling, seems like the vent has a key inside
Leon started going through a hallway near the ladder, finding all 4 pieces of the broken ladder and assembling it. After finally finishing and being unsure af is the ladder is actually gonna hold him, he climbed up and grabbed the key.
He located the wooden door and unlocked it with the key, and progressed into a room the features a deep pit with a grid of beams. The pit seemed deep and Leon wasn’t sure if he could survive the fall. He didn’t know if he could balance on the beams and navigate his way to the exit of the room so he had to think of a strategy. After a roller-coaster of thoughts, he progressed while leaning against the left wall as it was closest to the escape and he wouldn’t have to make any turns, he was basically hugging the wall so that he wouldn’t fall and made it to the end.
A crawlspace was on the wall. Leon was unsure whether or not to go through it but it seemed to be the only way out, so he started to crawl through it, making his way to level 1: The Habitable Zone. Leon didn’t know that obviously.
