“And I just don't understand her!!”
Yoruko loudly exclaimed as she angrily slammed her teacup down. She's in her room, finally getting a chance to rant about her day over some tea. But instead of Sora, who she would normally invite, she's speaking to Yuki Maeda, The Ultimate Lucky Student, and the only person who would understand what she's talking about.
“Y-yeah! I can't understand her either!” Yuki also loudly exclaimed, purposely trying to match Yoruko’s energy. “She KNOWS I have a crush on her, but all she's done is tease me! I just wanna know if she likes me back!”
“EXACTLY!!!!”
Yoruko is happy she can at least talk to Yuki about her feelings. When she first realized that Yuki also had a crush on Sora, she was pretty jealous. The pair even seeing each other as rivals for a bit. But as time passed by, they went from rivals, back to friends. Two very confused friends, who can't figure out if their crush likes at least one of them back.
“Like, yesterday she called me her SISTER! After basically flirting with me for an hour!”
“She says that I'm “just her classmate” all the time! She's so confusing!”
Yuki takes another sip of his tea, as Yoruko leans back in her chair, both sighing loudly. Yoruko notices that her leg has started bouncing slightly. Despite how much she loves Sora, the amnesic could be so confusing sometimes. Compared to everyone else, she had the calmest reaction to Yuri and Kokoro’s bodies, as if she was already used to death. She can be incredibly emotional, yet somehow emotionless at the same time. She can be incredibly understanding and helpful, and yet seemingly avoids letting anyone else understand her own emotions.
…Yoruko can't help but sigh, as a moment of silence passes in-between the two.
“Maybe she's shy? She doesn't know how to react to two people liking her?”
“Really Yuki? ‘Sora’ and ‘shy’ don't belong in the same sentence.”
Yoruko sits up to take a sip of her tea, before looking over at Yuki, who seemed to be deep in thought. “Maybe we should just ask her…” Yuki muttered as he went to take another sip of his tea, before realizing it was empty, making him put it back down.
“You sure she'll wanna talk?”
“Well, we'll never know unless we try-”
A familiar ding-dong rings through the Monocruise, as Monocrow says the night time announcement, interrupting Yuki.
“It is now 10PM. The gate to the Monocruise will be closed and anyone who sleeps outside of their room will be punished.”
“Thank you for your hard work today, and I hope you have a peaceful night…”
The speakers turn off, making Yoruko realize how much time she spent talking to Yuki. “Jeez, it's already night time? How long have we been talking?”
Yuki gets up, and stretches, “I'll see you tomorrow Yoruko! I'll, um, try to think of what we should say to Sora.”
“Yeah, see you later Yuki.” The lucky student eventually left Yoruko's room, where she soon went to bed.
