Reina was….
Tired.
Thats for sure. She was tired of all the fighting, the people who looked at her like a… a parasite.
Because she was a new player?
What difference did it make.
What did she say? what could she do? What did ZOE do?
Nothing? Maybe that’s the answer? Thats the only answer she could think of. But it really didn’t make any sense.
Was it such a crime to be a new player? Coming into this world after parrot was king? Was that why she couldn’t be happy in this place? In this time?
What could she even do?
.
.
.
Did she even deserve to stand by king parrot in this war?…
She didn’t know.
All she knew was that she wanted to be useful.
As useful as she could be for king parrot and the server. So she could help people.
So she could kill cindercrest.
And how would she do that?…. Well. Uh.
That’s what she’s going to find out. And also why she’s walking up this cold steps to get to the enterancd of the main meeting room in the northern counci,l to find Parrot, and, well. By extension. Theo.
She walked calmly up those stone steps, only accompanied by the cold space between her and the warmth of the only ‘friend?’ She had and the thuds of hed boots meeting the stone steps.
And after a bit of walking, the warm entrance of the northern council towered above her, the voices of her king, Parrot and Theo fighting about some…
‘biggest bird’ dilemma?
And as usual, she only stood at the entrance. Waiting quietly in her own little silence.
Waiting for those two nimwits to be done.
.
.
.
.
A ‘few’ minutes later and well…
Let’s just say her patience was really being tested by these two feather brained imbeciles.
So.
She decided to speak up about her woes.
“King parrot and Theo. Can we pretty please lock in?” And like magic both of their gazes snapped to her. It was so fast she was afraid they’d get whiplash.
And after a very awkward second of staring at eachother, Parrot cleared his throat with a semi-sheepish expression and Theo looked just plainly annoyed. Lil a cat that just got their tail stepped on. Well. In this case. A very peeved cockatiel. by her very presence in peticilar.
Reina had noticed that. It was odd in a way.
The cockatiel seemed to find her presence uncomfortable to a degree.
It made her slightly annoyed by his frequent attempts to show off to parrot, but she got it.
Weird bird courting or whatever the hell was going on there.
‘Whatever makes them happy I guess…’
She turned back to Parrot as he finally got out of his awkward stuper and spoke up sheepishly with a slightly awkward line creasing the in between of his eyebrows
“Sorry Reina. Did you need anything? Planning against cindercrest isn’t for another fifteen-ish minutes. I think anyway…”
He mumbled that last part quietly to himself, but she heard him anyway.
She simply nodded in return her brow creasing in mild amusement.
“I was wondering what we needed, you know. For the war with cindercrest and all. And I was gonna ask- Like what do we need? Like- Im sure we need more of something you know? New recruits, food, more recourses? That sorta thing you know?
I kinda want to be useful in making a difference to the war. Since Im not the… greatest. When it comes to pvp. Or fighting. In general.”
Parrot blinked slowly, confusion and awkward sheepishness fading in those black eyes of his into a shining, soft kind of understanding.
His expression softened slightly and turned a thoughtful tune in his eyes.
She waits patiently for his response, his head wings ruffling slightly in thought, pressing flat against his fluffy multicoloured hair.
Soon he hummed out
“well. Recourses are extremely vital. We don’t exactly have anything to trade with ClownPierce so we don’t uqve any access to anything from the nether for now… Hm, yeah. If you could see if you could find someplace that has armour and any sort equipment or food for our recruits. That would be really helpful, yeah.”
She paused. And nodded. Tilting her head slightly in thought.
When she glanced over…
Theo was still pouting.
Hm. Well, I guess that’s something.
“Hey Parrot. You wouldn’t happen to know anywhere I could get resources right? Or just any leads?
Because if you can’t tell I haven’t exactly been on this server for that long and well.. yeah.”
It took a minute of thought and suggesting different options.
Took a bit but after a few minutes of discussing they came to the conclusion she’ll go looking for supplies from some old civilisation or organisation.
And who was going to do that?
Her.
She didn’t know much about the server. And wasn’t the best when it came to people, but she’d try to find…
Something. Anything.
She has to.

————————————
NOTHING.
None of the sweet sweet information she craves.
Nothing thats USEFUL.
The most she’s found is a little kid selling flowers for food (she ended up feeling bad and gave him some of her bread, the kid ended up crying and wouldn’t let go of her for an hour)
So yeah. She was reasonably pissed.
Because like-
Arghhhhhhhh.
It had been days. DAYS! And she hasn’t found NOTHING.
A SINGLE clue.
Nada!
Zero.
You know when she said she’d do anything for king parrot, she kind thought she’d be able to do something. You know.
That it wouldn’t be so HARD to get any sorts of info on anything useful.
But now? Arghhhhh she was so done with this bullshit.
No leads.
No magic piece of information to save the day.
Ugh….
She was so cooked.
—————————————
Marlow was…. Bored.
Like. Excruciatingly so.
All she did all day was ban little chungies who come for the stash and write.
Even that is getting boring, but what is she supposed to do in this cold deserted vault.
She could barely touch anything in fear of setting off one of Ashswagg’s many MANY traps in fear of getting all the stasis’s activated.
She was okay with being a monster if it ment saving at least a few thousand players.
So here she was.
Sitting.
.
.
.
.
Never mind. This doesn’t help one bit.
Her room was as cold as the rest of this place. A nice shade of pink her friend always liked.
She…
Missed her.
Missed people. Missed the sun on her skin, missed the sky, missed the clouds and the wind that kissed her cheeks.
Gods she longed for nothing more then to rest under the sun in a field of real flowers with-
.
.
.
Her.
God.
Her.
She missed her so, missed her hair that billowed like stolen whispers of the void, missed eyes shining brighter then the sun glinting of ice from the highest of peaks.
Miss her like she misses air. Miss her like she misses her.
Oh god.
Her. Her laugh. Her giggles. Her jokes. Her name. Her calling my name. Her braiding my hair. Her taking my hands in hers and handing me flowers and trinkets or anything shiny she found interesting. Oh god she longed. Longed for her whispers. Longed for her love. Longed for her touches that lingered just ri-
Woah.
Okay. Stopping that train of thought right there.
Damn she really was lonely down here.
Her room was pink. A shade that used to be so lovely in her eyes. A soft yet rightous shade of cherry pink, like the cherry blossoms that she and her friend used to go look fo-
Ugh. She was hopeless. She really was.
She looks at her pink walls. She used to think them so… lively.
They whisper cold things just like the rest of the walls now. Laughing at her misery.
Yeah… she should get some more rest. She can’t defend the vault if she keeps thinking of creepy shit like that…
So she sighs. And starts to stretch out her muscles.
Legs.
Arms.
Elbows.
Back.
Knees.
Neck.
Just stretching out the day and all it’s qualms.
And after a quick change into her purple pajama pants and her cheap soft pink sweater (HnlIlEwxjL) gave her quite some time ago now.
How long had it been?… she let out a huff of air. ‘Best not think about that now’ .Looking around her room she spotted her book shelves… both of them were full now.
Written words scribbled down in ink that should’ve long since run dry.
Just proof of her sanity.
Of her humanity at least.
She hestitates… should she write again?… no.
Nothing has changed. So there was nothing to write about.
How pointless. So. She puts her armour on its stand and heads to her little comfortable bed. It’s a shame that such a comfortable thing wasn’t used as much as it should, but at least she should be fine to rest for a bit.
So.
With that she turned over the covers and snuggled under. She pretended it was warmer then it was.
And soon enough.
She was deep in her rest.
—————————
Reina was more happy then she should be.
But FINALLY. ACTUAL INFORMATION! From this guy coin monkey she ran into in her travels.
Though he was pretty vague about the place he gave her coordinates anyway.
Which is good.
He said is was where called the ‘mafias tomb’
Something dramatic and whatever. She wasn’t really listening to him ramble on.
But now?… she was in the end. And god she hated it here. The stone underneath her feet was crumbly. Like wet sand if it was dry. Crumbly and cold. Firm and smooth with little bumps and ridges. Travelling through the end islands after sneaking out. Luckily she had collected a bunch of blocks before this so she should be fine. She’d also managed to get enough redstone materials for her to be able to get to the… what did that guy say again?…
Island. In between the first two rings of the end islands. Huh.
I mean she knew it’d be a long time but…
Seriously?…
It had been hours barely any progress and her feet were sore.
More hours, and news! The ache had spread to her spine and legs.
Even more hours. Dear Mojang she swears any longer and she might actually pass out…
But finally. FINALLY. the islands had ended. Showing her the endless void infront of her. Oh thank MOJANG. Arghhhh. She wasn’t religious or anything. But she thanks the admins that made her of her lucky stars that she was finally getting somewhere. Time to build this thingy…
And after placing the pistons red stone or whatever stuff blah blah it was done!
So she got into the boat and broke the block.
And off she goes!
Oh god it was so nice to rest her feet. Even if everything around her was just… nothing.
It was nice. In a way. Cold and silent where her world had been bright noises and cries of players. Of the explosions and the fighting. All the yelling. It came to a close here. On these endless fields of gentle nothing. The very air felt softer. In a way anyway. Less… restrictive. More free. She gets why hybrids from the end rarely leave she guesses. It’s nice. Cold and caressing. Hugging and cooling her overheated brain.
Because silence was rare in the overworld. It was never quiet up there.
It just seemed so… odd.
Silence was so freely given here. Over plains of swirling empty space.
She stared down.
She came to realise it wasn’t just black. It was a swirling array of purple, black, grey and small speckles of white. Like dying stars.
She’s pretty sure she read something about how the white specks are the pods where voidlings are formed from.
She wonders how it would feel being made in the void.
Such a empty space. So many possibilities…
But oh well. Guess she’ll never know.
Might as well settle in for the ride.
