Chapter Text
Multi found himself running through the financial district. He kept yelling, adrenaline rushing through his veins. He couldn't find Nacho — someone took his son away. They took him, and they're going to hurt him, he thought with fear.
Multi kept running, checking every building, yet Nacho was nowhere to be found. The buildings were empty, not a single person in sight. Not the residents, not his friends, not even his enemies — and most importantly, not his son. He felt his vision blurring, and after a second of confusion, he realised it was the tears streaming down his face.
"Please!" he screamed, looking up at the sky, "Nacho, where are you?!"
His eyes burned, heart pounding in his chest. "No..." he thought. It couldn't end like this. He had to find his son.. He had to keep fighting, maybe he was somewhere in the other buildings. He needed to-
Multi snapped his eyes open, jolting up in his chair. He still felt anxiety and sweat all over his body, his heart racing. He quickly looked around the place he was in — his office. He must've fallen asleep while reading reports once again.
He shook his head and immediately stood up and ran to Nacho's room as fast as he could. Anxiety was still flooding his veins - Multi tried to calm himself and remind himself that it was all a dream; however, even the slightest possibility of Nacho being gone again scared him to death. He ran through the hallways until he finally arrived at the door. He slammed the door open and quickly looked around.
"Dada?" A quiet voice asked.
Multi's turned towards the voice's source, his eyes quickly on the bed, where he saw his son rubbing his eyes and slowly sitting up.
"Oh Nacho, Nacho..." He ran up to the bed, embracing his son. He could still feel his body shaking, a final drop of sweat falling down his face.
Nacho looked up disoriented, nonetheless still embracing his dad back.
"Dada, what happened?" Nacho asked, yawning, "you woke me up".
Multi ran a hand across his back, holding him tighter apologetically, "I'm sorry, I just..." he hesitated.
He took a breath and gave himself a second to calm down. His heart was finally slowing down, deep relief going through his body. His eyes closed for a moment, trying to focus and get his thoughts in order. After a moment he looked back down at his son, biting his lip, "I was just scared you got taken away from me again" he admitted quietly.
Nacho furrowed his brows, "Dada, don't worry" he looked in Multi's eyes, "I'm safe". Nacho thought for a second, bringing a finger to his chin. He smiled brightly and added, "after all, I'm in our home with you, right?" Nacho beamed at his father.
Multi returned him a tired smile, feeling his mood lift because of his son, "yeah, you're right" he responded, continuing to rub his hand across Nacho's back.
They stayed in the embrace for a while, Nacho happily hugging his dad and Multi glad to finally have his heart calm down and adrenaline subside.
He started feeling how tired he actually was — it was another sleepless night and the nightmares never let him rest. His eyelids started feeling really heavy in the moment, and the feeling of the soft bed underneath him and warm embrace made him feel safe enough to eventually make his eyelids close. His body slowly slid down and rested on the bed, his mind deep in slumber.
Nacho looked down at his father, still half-embracing his body, and giggled to himself when he noticed what just happened. He sighed softly and laid next to him on the bed, going back to sleep — this time with his adoptive father snoring quietly in the same room.
